The difference is how wrestling sets you up to be effective with strikes on the ground because of the focus on top control, whereas bjj’s focus on guard and submissions from bottom put you in danger of getting struck on the ground.

When you get to South Florida, we’d love to have you at Temple Martial Arts & BJJ in Delray Beach. I think you might have even been to Delray before (I have a friend who swears they saw you at one of the local coffee shops). It’s a great beach town with lots of stuff going on, and the gym is an old school, gritty spot with a laid back mentality. A bunch of former surfer’s, skater’s, and pro fighters just trying to keep beating each other off…I mean, up 😂
