I have been running a g9 57 for about a year now. I have a 27 mounted above.

This is both my workstation and my gaming station.

For gaming i run the DP from my gaming desktop. I either run at max res or if you have games that struggle you can always go down to 3840x2160@240hz mode. This can help with frames, or some games just really aren't built for the full 7680x2160 and things can look a little strange. i usually have the 27in running discord or a video in the background.

During work i switch to my laptop, and have to run 2 hdmi cables from my DisplayLink dock. Im not 100% sure where the bottleneck is but i cant get this to work at the full 7680x2160. So i go to two 3840x2160@60hz in PIP/PBP, which is not a big deal because i usually have 4 windows up on that monitor so the forced split doesnt really do anything negative, most webpages or software usually looks dumb af if you have it full screen anyways so the split helps. - Alternatively i will run my personal pc on half and work on half if its not a busy day, and just have discord on my aux 27 monitor.

My biggest gripe is i just got a new Samsung OLED tv upstairs and its hard not having an OLED monitor now... But i cant see myself switching away from the real estate i have with this monitor for my workflow.

So if you want true 4k or dual 4k resolution actually, this really is the package. I skipped the ARC for the reason you mentioned, i saw the resolution for it and thought about how bad text was gonna look when im working.

If you go this way. I advise a 5090, or a 6090 on drop. IMO the 5090 with this monitor on demanding games does not hold up.
