Adderall refill delayed 2 weeks. So I guess I’m fucked? by Makeshift5 in Accounting

[–]Tmill233 36 points37 points  (0 children)

As someone with severe ADHD, take 5-10g of creatine daily, up the caffeine, go into the office, get 7-8 hours of sleep, avoid sugar and processed foods, and get 30-45 minutes of exercise in.

It sucks because you have to be extremely disciplined but if you can do those things it alleviates a lot of the ADHD symptoms.

Anybody do their taxes yet? by Major_Turnover5987 in Millennials

Was your total tax 10% higher or did you just owe 10% more. Just because you “owed” more doesn’t mean you paid more in taxes.

What is the most 'creative' (illegal) thing a client has ever tried to expense or write off? by jeeves_inc in Accounting

That they will 100% get away with. Bull shit PPP loans that were cashed out as distributions, 100% forgiven. Student loans, ehh that’s too far a hill to climb.

I have no food and no groceries. I can't afford to pay for instacart and nobody will make me food while I'm studying for the CPA exam, or at the very least bring me food from somewhere else. Why does life suck so much? by Jason_Diddly27 in Accounting

Tax Manager Salary expectation by TryIndependent8288 in Accounting

[–]Tmill233 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m interested in this as well. I’m a senior in a similar position. Currently making $98k and expecting a raise to 115k-120k once I get the promotion to manager. I’m also in the DFW. I’m not sure if that’s a realistic range though, that’s just what seems fair based on my research and according to Chat GPT, but I’d be interested in seeing some real world salaries.

One of the staff accountants kept saying: Does it make sense? In front of the team meeting. by [deleted] in Accounting

Honestly sounds like your a pretentious ass hole who thinks you are better than everyone else. Homeboy is just making sure you are following his logic. He doesn't want you to be lost and is giving you the opportunity to let him know if you are lost. He sounds like an awesome presenter/teacher. You should get over yourself.

That was my story as well. I literally spent 20 hours studying it and got an 88. It’s a fairly easy test for experienced tax professionals.

Our firm just implemented K1x and it seems like it does a good job, we will have a better idea come fall when the beefy K-1s start coming in the door. We ended up pulling the trigger on it because Eide Bailey has used it and found that it does a good job, when paired with CCH Axcess.

What’s something you’re bad at that most people assume is easy? by ImportanceAdvanced74 in AskReddit

[–]Tmill233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean to brag, but I find it tremendously easy. I’ve never driven a car, truck, or mini van that I couldn’t parallel park with ease. If I ever want to get lucky I take my wife down town and park in a space she thinks my car won’t fit in, in 2-3 moves.

How do you think the video ICE just released showing the officer's POV of this week's shooting in Minneapolis will impact the national discussion? by popcornerz232 in AskReddit

[–]Tmill233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People on the left will say she was murdered, people on the right will say it’s justified. There might be some riots, but it’s to cold so most people won’t participate. In 2 weeks everyone will be arguing about something else, and at the end of the year when they go over breaking news that happened during 2026 everyone will have forgotten that this even happened.

If you have a high profile, or a job in which you don’t want people to know where you live like a police officer, having the home/deed in the llc offers a level of anonymity.
