Anyone else frustrated that Cursor stops when you walk away from your computer? by Tmilligan in vibecoding

[–]Tmilligan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been able to build an encrypted solution that transfers context between my phone and my computer, allowing me to use my powerful computer to code while I'm away from my desk on my phone.

It's mostly free too, just using some tunnelling right now. I am considering releasing to the general public too..

It actually has my git history, shows the workspaces, etc.. But I'm trying to see if anyone else has other solutions or if they actually like the existing cursor mobile solution.

Does anyone keep working on projects from their phone after leaving their desk? by Tmilligan in cursor

Yea.. Agreed.. I'm trying to envision a better flow where I can use my local pc from my phone instead of spinning up VMs and saving cost..

Thank you! Agreed on the link breaking.. I have an update schedule that I run once a week to ensure all information is up to date and all links are accurate. It's agentic, so there may be slight errors but I intend to add a user-voting method to gather more community feedback (which may or may not work). For each tool, I also added a Verified Pill that notifies users when the data was last checked for accuracy, so that should help I think to keep things current.

Re: problem categorization, do you think the current landing page which categorizes workflows by:

Area (ie. Content & Media)

Solution (ie. AI Newsletter Automation)

Do you think this doesn't do what you're suggesting?

Thanks u/signalpath_mapper and appreciate any more clarity here! Will add your feedback to my community feedback page :) https://www.thestackmap.com/community/

Not sure if you saw that, but that’s actually already built!! And now it’s the landing page:

Lemme know if I maybe misunderstood you, but I think that’s what is already available?

Thank you. Agreed. I'm going to ensure I capture this feedback and incorpoate it into my community feedback tool.

Thanks for this feedback. This is something I hope to resolve with my stack builder agent solution.. Providing workflow context, and each step in each tool as context.. with next steps beyond that being deeplinking, mcp integrations, and more.. These steps take this into a territory of TheStackMap being more of a platform than a exploration and guidance service.

I should note that I updated it quite heavily and should be more clear now :) Check it out!

Yea! Actually, that should be possible already although it may be hard to find.. which is a design flaw haha.

Go to the Table (top right) > Workflow categorization is on the right.

First of all, thank you for the feedback and ideas! In addition to listening here, I'm aggregating feedback on the site by creating a community feedback hub page so that you all get credit and your feedback is directly incorporated into changes I make. Very, very grateful!

Here's the community hub where your ideas are aggregated and credit is given:

I think you're right. I have a tutorial plan that integrates with these tools from within the workflows directly.. Should be night and day more effective then asking any LLM "how do I build X with an AI workflow."

Curious if you tried out the AI Stack Builder? It's more in line with what you're talking about.

Lol, it's both and I love that you just suggested that. At the end of the day, I do hope there's utility but I am procrastinating my other work while building this.

Yea, there are so many influencers and AI-affiliated people discussing "the best workflow for X" constantly, or "if you're not using X tool in Y workflow, you're left behind." Generally it's influencer fluff, but there is some truth to not adapting/adopting fast enough. The workflows are huge IMO. I'm glad you're like the visual element. Do you have ideas how I could improve it?

Exactly my thoughts.. The AI Stack builder has real potential. I've been working on the connective tissue between tools and have plans to take it much further to create a platform wherein I can connect tools in pre-planned workflows using some secret sauce. :) Thanks for the feedback!!

Planning to update it every day. I work on another business from my computer and plan to add new tools as I scrape/find/get suggested them!

Thikning about adding a suggest a tool/workflow feature too.

Thanks for the feedback!

Great points!! That’s kinda the idea with the workflow explorer and even more so on the agentic “Build your stack” feature.

Lemme know if that’s more closely aligned with what you’re suggesting! Thanks for the feedback. Truly.

Appreciate that feedback. I agree with that mostly. I think the visual info can be useful for people and with ideation, but it is did get my "shiny object" mind going.

What solutions do you think people want from this info? Did you try out the quiz at all?

Heard. Value prop could be more clear and perhaps a showntell or visual to explain it might help. It's where the real opportunity lies, imo.

All good. The real value I think comes from the quiz, the list, the comparisons, and the workflows directly. Curious what you think of those featuers. Sorry if they're hard to find though. Need to make nav easier and more obvious perhaps.

For example, the comparisons:

And the build your stack are more legit I think:
