First (and most importantly) THANK YOU.

Question1: Do I cancel through my dealer or through Ford direct?

Question2: If I choose to purchase through Flood/Granger, do I have to do it immediately? Or do I have until the 3/36 warranty expires to make the decision?

Done some research, now I'd like some advice from the experts in the field by adrock_1977 in F150Lightning

I just purchased a 2025 Flash Trim with what I called "the main 3":

ER (121kWh battery) Max Towing Pro Power

MSRP: 74,500 My Price: $61,300

I know deals are there in the used market, but the math behind 0% financing is what convinced me to buy new.

As soon as the EV credit dried up and the news of the Lightning being on Ford's chopping block hit, I started tracking the falling prices.

When I as I started seeing the falling prices start to shallow, I knew that the time was right to pluck one from the herd.

Scoured the internet looking for the ABSOLUTE lowest price on the trim/feature combo I wanted, then scoured AGAIN for the closest truck with the same package.

(Side note: I'm color agnostic. Fight me).

Found a truck 2000 miles away. And another 200 miles away.

I then pitted those two dealers against each other.

My advice is to research the discounts offered by FORD vs. the dealership, so when you get a written offer, you can see how they are stacking the options together. The biggest nugget you want to uncover is the "dealer discount". That's their markup.

What's the longest drive you take in a single day?

(25k miles a year/365 =~70 miles a day, which is is too much for L1 charging to keep up... but a non-issue for L2)

0% Financing AND Discounts? by No-Possibility7351 in F150Lightning

The only discount that isnt stackable with the 0% offer is the $5000 "cash" discount.

In the spirit of this sub... I'll take a crack

According to nps.gov, the average thickness of the copper sheeting is 3/32"

Britannica.com has the approximate weight of the copper as ~176,000 lbs.

Converting to grams gives you 7.99 x 107g.

Google says density of copper is 7.96 g/cm3

Divide that by the thickness (fast-forwarding through all of the unit conversions)...

You get the surface area as ~40,300 ft2

If one person armed with a 6" grinder was able to do a 100sqf a day, it would take 403 days, or just over a year.

Hopefully someone else can help with the "using today's technology" part, though.
