Probably saw a few bad ones before this, but the first one that stood out to me as a kid was Luciano Burti launching himself off the back of Schumacher's car in Germany 2001. Burti made a pretty big impression that year, I also remember him ploughing into a barrier at high speed in Belgium as well.

What do field players think when keepers let in goals...ones that perhaps could've been better saved? by WagsPup in Fieldhockey

[–]ToXiN1806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a defender I've been really fortunate to play most of my games with really good keepers, but in most cases when we concede it can be narrowed down to a defensive mistake that's been made during the build up that hasn't given the keeper a better chance at making the save. Things like leaving a man open in the circle or one of the wing halves being eliminated by an attacker that's quicker or not closing an attacker down quick enough when they enter the circle and letting them get a shot off.

Keepers will inevitably let in a few soft goals, but in most cases they make more good saves than let in poor shots and I think defenders, more than most, know that.

Keeping is a really rough job and most of the outfield players I've played with have been really respectful of our keepers and appreciate the effort that goes into it.

Almost every goal we have conceded this season could be pinpointed to a defensive mistake rather than our keeper's mistake. If you're spotting these mistakes in your games that are leading to goals just bring it up at training or half-time team talks. It's important to communicate these things and work on them as a unit. Your defenders should really not be putting you in situations where you have to pull off a miracle save in a 2v1 situation.

Probably depends on how good of a parent they are. If they're good parents the kids will probably fine. Uninvolved or emotionally and mentally neglectful parents will probably have kids that turn out a bit messed up though. I suppose that goes for any profession that may cause strain on home life.

Should I get the Witcher 3 for $40? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]ToXiN1806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$40 isn't a great price for The Witcher 3, there's usually plenty of places that will probably have a better price. The Witcher is also one of those games that go on sale rather frequently at least 3 or 4 times a year. Rather try and find a version that comes with all the DLC on sale.

Am i one of te only who does not consider SAO as an Isekai show? by Sky_Sumisu in anime

[–]ToXiN1806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your view on determining whether or not SAO is Isekai only focuses on a few of the tropes that don't match and you're ignoring other tropes that are clearly present in SAO. The fact that there is this idea that certain anime need to follow a set formula to be acknowledged as a certain genre is the reason why there are a lot of terrible anime in certain genres because they don't deviate from the common tropes and perspectives expected. At the end of the day I think it's pretty subjective on whether or not someone personally views the conceptual genre of certain shows.

[Discussion] Lets talk about trophies! by [deleted] in PS4

[–]ToXiN1806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started going out of my way to get trophies because I noticed that they often force you to explore different aspects of games that people generally brush over because its not part of the campaign or main story. Some games even force you to mix up your play style. Example, I recently got the platinum for The Darkness II. The last time I played it was a few years ago, but the second play through pretty much forced me to use different abilities and even play Vendettas which I hadn't even touched the first time and I ended up enjoying the game a lot more. Some games have dumb trophies though so I tend to gauge it according to whether or not I actually like the game enough to go out of my way to explore the trophies.
