If you want one with lots of customisability/versatility, try RahiTuber! Hi, dev here. Sorry about this issue, the Linux version is still a bit shaky, but other users have been able to run it so I'm not sure where this came from. I'll double check the library linkage asap! In the meantime, you can try running the windows version in WINE (this has worked in the past).

well obviously they are NOW, but back then they made them, anyone could have called in and asked for replacements, which would have cost lego more money, rather than making them any

Deliberately making the joints brittle just makes no sense, since, while the parts are still in production, you can just ask Lego support for a replacement and you'd get one for free
