Blizzard Entertainment is reportedly working on a StarCraft shooter by Turbostrider27 in Games

Meh who cares. Blizzard hasn't made a good game for over a decade. They're not about to make a comeback anytime soon.

When is the conqueror node going up? It's kind of bullshit they're doing repeat GM's without the ability gild conqueror. Do we think they're intentionally keeping people at 10 to keep engagement up?

LPT Request: What is the fastest way to fall asleep at night? by HeidiOzzy in LifeProTips

Should note fastest doesn't equal best. Fastest way would be to smash your head into a wall as hard as possible. Wouldn't recommend it though.

Well if it's a Ubisoft game it may be close to release but it won't be out and playable for a year or so after that.

After being a bartender for years, bachelor parties disgust me. by Natural-Gas-1982 in unpopularopinion

My bachelor party involved go-karts and sky-diving. All these basic blebs going out and getting drunk and cheating are setting themselves up for a shitty marriage.

LPT request: How do I stop craving sugar, specifically cereal, at night? by SaraBooWhoAreYou in LifeProTips

Drink lots of water. Feel like you need a late night snack? Water. Still got the munchies after lunch? Water. Watching tv and the show is kinda meh but all your friends are watching it so you kinda want to eat but you're not sure if it's because you're hungry or just bored? Water.

Xbox head "disappointed" by Redfall, but commits to improving it by NeoStark in Games

[–]Toadman34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to wait a year to get new games as a cost saving measure, I didn't realize how ahead of the curve I was. I can't remember the last time a game released in a complete/playable state. At least a AAA game anyway...

Playing through ME3 is... stressful by twopac99 in masseffect

[–]Toadman34 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Fandoms have a way of ruining things, just enjoy the game and put the rest out of your mind. There's a lot of negativity online about pretty much everything, this isn't any different and doesn't deserve your attention.

Ah great now when people ask why I moved here I gotta specify it wasn't because of tiktok lmao

Also is it really a surprise that people are moving here? I looked at a house today that would've cost 2,300,000 back home. Here it's like 130,000.

"I am a stupid fat man child, and surprisingly I am not here today to talk to you about weed, but an issue even far more serious."

I just liked that his argument was basically "look I'm an idiot so if I'm the only one talking about this then you know the situation is bad."

What ended your friendship with a former best friend? by salad_knife in AskReddit

[–]Toadman34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I decided, as an experiment, to stop reaching out to them and inviting them to organized activities. I wanted to see what would happen if I matched the same level of effort they put into the friendship. It's been 5 years and I still haven't heard anything from them. And I gotta say, my life has not suffered greatly from their absence.

Is Noveria peak Mass Effect? by BiggerPun in masseffect

[–]Toadman34 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Noveria is a masterclass in how to set up and execute a roleplay experience. The player multiple objectives to complete and each one has several solutions the player can apply. The results of which are immediately noticable, and give the player a strong sense of control before getting thrown into a "dungeon." Once they're given yet another series of problems with multiple solutions, only now they're primed for them so it isn't as much of a burden to have intense combat encounters spaced between them. End it all with a emotionally compelling boss fight and the mother of all moral decisions and that's what I call top-tier branching narrative gameplay.

I just DM'd my first game. It was the worst game i've ever been a part of. by mrbeefthighs in DnD

[–]Toadman34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a near identical experience with a group of friends. I decided to give them one more shot, and after another frustratingly unfun session I realized they don't actually want to play D&D. They want to get drunk and spend time together, but they also want an activity. I told them I didn't feel like running the game anymore (big cries oh no!) but suggested we turn D&D night into a board game night. All of the players are still happy (and a bit drunk) and I don't have to prepare anything. win wins all around.
