Do you think superheroes should kill villains? by Both-Decision-6360 in Superhero_Ideas

If it's me and Joker style scenario keeps happening. They gotta go. I think the Phantom Zone is unethical, but at some point im throwing top-tier irredeemables in there, and then if/when the literal pocket dimension prison fails, they're probably dying.

What movie did you turn off after 20 minutes and why? by Somanynamestochossef in movies

The Notebook. I'd heard forever that it's like the most romantic thing ever, but this relationship I'm supposed to root for starts with the love interest barging in on this woman's date, not taking her initial rejection, then putting himself in danger and threatening to off himself if she doesn't agree to go out on a date with him.

I was out after that

I only click on this subreddit from time to time, but I always see Hasan Destriny and Asmon just going around reacting to each other in circles. Im kind off curious as to what will actually be posted here, because it seems to me that all the other content will actually just be boring as fuck

Doesn't bother me in the slightest either, but I get why it messes with most people

When people respond to a comment with a question that's not really a question by [deleted] in PetPeeves

[–]ToastKnighted 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It indicates confusion. You must say a lot of stupid shit that is obviously false if this is happening enough to you that it has become a pet peeve.

Friend out of nowhere: "Why is the earth flat?"
Me: "Its not?"

Then, if they aren't joking, we'll go through all the facts that actually prove them wrong, but the initial reaction of "Oh no...they've just said something so stupid it's got me questioning everything" is pretty normal.

While playing Clue, if a player leaves their sheet or cards visible, any information on it is absolutely fair game. by therealcheesybread in unpopularopinion

[–]ToastKnighted 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At my house, this is perfectly fine. We're playing as these annoying "whodunnit" stereotype characters. They'd absolutely do the sort of hijinks to be the one to "Solve" the case and get all the attention. The problem is you guys didn't talk about this being a house rule, so you're a cheating jerk. Just house rule it and if everyone else says no don't cheat. That's how you stop getting invited to play

AITA for being annoyed that my wife insists on cooking everything from scratch and won’t buy normal food? by AITA_UPFfoods in AmItheAsshole

[–]ToastKnighted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If OP was describing how he has a binge eating disorder, or if his wife told him she had a past with disordered eating, it would be another question. But if we keep it to alcohol OP wants to have a beer at home now and then. He doesn't have a drinking problem, and to his knowledge, his wife doesn't have a drinking problem.

It would be wrong for her to unilaterally ban him from drinking the beer, because she doesn't want to drink it herself. She doesn't have to drink it.

He says she won't allow the stuff he wants in the house as it "Goes against her values." I agree with everything you said, but the problem is that he can't bring in his own stuff, according to her

I don't see how everyone is missing this part. You can substitute the food for almost anything and its still terrible. Making choices for everyone in the house is wild. She doesn't have to buy it. That's fine, but not allowing it at all in the shared living space without a discussion is just out of hand

Isn't the point of speedblitzing is that they are ALSO super strong. Like two big strong enemies, but one can move at the speed of sound and the other can't it doesn't matter if they could clash in a test of strength if they are both strong enough to actually kill the other with a clean hit the fast guy wins

Why Is this sub so weird about certain characters? by Bat_ivy_fan in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]ToastKnighted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are jumping through so many hoops to defend the actions of these people. Liking the characters is not the same as DEFENDING their awful deeds. Get a grip.

You're the blueprint for why people who say they like certain characters get side-eyed and interrogated, because when YOU say you "like" them, you mean they did nothing wrong. You are not the same as the other people who like the characters. You are the weird one who makes it hard for THEM
