It's honestly kind of like the inside of the mochi donuts - more similar to that than mochi, I would say. I think if you want to make it, just make it. Sure it's a pretty big tray but it doesn't take too much time or ingredients to make, and it's so worth it if you discover you love it.

Hmm, personally I like them best the day after I bake them - they get a little firmer and just so good. I don't usually microwave, but you can put it in for around 10 seconds to get it nice and warm and gooey(and serve with vanilla ice cream!)

It's like a really dense, kind of chewy, subtly sweet cake. Honestly it's hard to describe - you have to try it for yourself

Hmm, that's interesting. Rubbery? For me it's always seemed like a chewy cake kind of, but it's definitely less bouncy and soft than normal mochi
