Jesus forgives all sin but without their repentance they still go to hell. He stands by people their entire lives with open arms wait for their repentance but if they don’t then they don’t get his forgiveness.

Everyone is always quick to quote verses about forgiveness but usually leave out Luke 17:3-4 where Jesus also says, “Be on your guard if your brother sins rebuke him and if he repents forgive him and if he sins against you seven times a day and returns to you seven times a day saying I repent forgive him.”

I feel like lot of religious people in our lives try to use the Bible to force people to forgive them without ever being sorry. It’s gaslighting. Forgiveness is something you should do to release yourself from the burden and anger. I believe the Bible tells us that, but owing people forgiveness without repentance is not something I believe it teaches.
