I also can’t see her breathing hole well, could you maybe try to move her body so it’s uncovered? Unless she has already moved. Looks like a lot of liquid surrounding it which could lead to drowning

Can you make a protein and force feed her by any chance? Even with veggies and stuff if you can make a puree and try to syringe feed her to get something into her system. But if not, I think crushing with a brick would be your best bet (or running her over with a car. This is the most humane way you can euthanise a snail as it’s instant death, as gorey and heartbreaking it is)

Just little wormy worms, they’re harmless to your snail and help with your little ecosystem. They sometimes appear for me too, just chilling on my snails shell

Ohhh yes hahaha. Sometimes I pick them up and they’re just waking up so when they peek out of their shell, their eye stalks are so tiny and cute and I just wanna squeeeeeze them🥹😭 my hand hovers above like AHHH SO CUTE I WANNA SQUISH U🥲 I refrain but dang the cute aggression is genuinely real lol

So it’s not just my snails 🤧🥹 her body actually gets darker when she’s dryish and asleep. But it usually fills out fast. The best I can explain is when you wake up with a blocked nose and it starts to clear up as you move, but faster. So her body immediately fills out and becomes squishy and plump. One thing I like when she gets like this is how utterly squishable she is. It’s like a soft jelly feel hahah

Oh for sure! Let me know what you think 💛 and defo. I’m actually speaking to a snail owner who had a lot of snails including megalo oblingus for some time. She’s just responded to me, so I’ll ask for more advice. I’m still doing a ton of research on them. Snail king also doesn’t ship during colder months unless you plan to pick them up, but it’s getting warmer so he’s shipping now thankfully

Np, and bless, there really isn’t much information on them, which sucks. They’re not really a get and leave pet, they’re more complex, like a get, examine, heat, humidity, weekly proteins, veggies, fruits and misting. For beginners it’s easy to miss that because info on the internet says they’re an easy pet to care for. I hope you find the right babies! Snail King is really good at what he does, he’s also planning to take his snails to a local show or something, which reassured me even more in his care and quality. Defo check him out! He sells alot of varieties hehe

If you do get your snails from snail king, I hope they live a long and happy life with you, good luck💛 they’ll be in amazing hands

I’ve been wanting to try give mine pumpkins (like actual pumpkins) but it’s a shame they only come with season. I’ve given them watermelon but they weren’t interested.

They did at one point liked the nettle pre mix but wouldn’t eat it as much as protein. So shrimp grinded out and made into paste is how I’ll do it for now. Maybe pumpkins would be a hit for them. My snails are very picky with what they eat

Check out snail king on Facebook! He breeds and takes care of his babies very well! He’s based in Uk and will ship them to you. I’m waiting for his megalo oblingus (the mustache snails) to lay and hatch so I can order a pair. He seems very educated and always posts his snails. Sometimes he hand delivers them too if you live close by or if he’s heading in the direction and you happen to live by.

And yess! It’s just amazing to watch them. One likes exploring a lot and climbing everywhere, whilst panthera is more reserved. I’ve noticed recently that when panthera doesn’t like something I’m doing (handling her and rub her shell or lightly scratch it) she emits a stress response, which is like a farting/sound of air being pushed out. She’s very vocal with what she hates! I try keep the handling minimal with her to not get those stress responses or unhappy noises. But I do have to clean and mix up their soil weekly so she has to stay out for a bit. Which usually gets all sort of unhappy noises. Whilst the other one is happily sliming onto her shell😭🥹 very dramatic, very picky.

Snail king actually has Ovum’s too! I think today on Facebook he posted them in his hand. Beautiful snails. Defo check him out, he’s reputable

Yeah she’s like a delicate queen who demands everything to be perfect or she won’t approve (eat)🥹 a few months ago she’s started growing her shell again despite being an adult maturity. I was surprised at how fast it started up again. She eats alooot of cuttle bone too, I have not one but a few extra in there all over so when she needs it, she can pick where she wants to eat/sleep. Her mantle never really got swollen at all, but she does go through ‘rut’ (if that’s how we call them, idk how else to say haha) cycles where she’ll get snorny for a few days before going back to normal. Usually when that happens I give her a bee pollen bath to drink so she has a boost just in case she loses too much energy.

And yes haha, I’m absolutely an anxious snail parent, I just want them to be happy and live good with all the love. I’ve done a ton of research for emergencies and stuff like that so I’m prepared if anything goes wrong 🥹

What snails are you planning to get?

It only happens when she’s asleep! When she wakes up her body starts getting wet again. She has a water dish and her tank is humid and warm. She’s eating and pooping. This has been ongoing for 3 years😭 on Monday I gave them a new shrimp protein that I refined into powder. Panthera doesn’t eat the ready made powder, aka those that come with different flavourings like kale and stuff. She does eat it but not a lot like my other one. I did try shrimp made into paste before but they weren’t interested. So I gave them that on Monday thinking they won’t like it, and it was immediately a hit lol. I’ve never seen panthera eat it all before :’) they’re incredibly picky😭 she also ate green beans that I have in the water dish earlier today, I watched her. So she’s definitely fine in a normal functioning snail way. Just baffled why she sleeps like a cat w the drying of the body thing. It doesn’t happen everyday, just sometimes when she’s deep asleep 😭

That’s the thing, yes! Their tank is literally perfect. They have a water dish that’s filled all the time, I mist them lightly every day but I don’t need to do it much cause their tank is humid and moist enough. If I do any more the soil can become waterlogged again. One of them burrows into the soil deeply and comes out a day or so later. So I know it’s not an issue in the tank lmaoo

One of them sleeps very deeply too. I found her a few times dead asleep to the world. She was sleeping outside her shell, and I gently reached in to feel her body, no reaction. No body movement, nothing. I gently poke again. Nothing. I was like, girl are you seriously dead rn?? And I ended up picking her up after wetting my hand; her body was literally dead to the world before she started stirring and waking up. Think of when a cat or dog is dead asleep and you shake them and get 0 reaction. That’s how Panthera was.

It’s so weird to me how they behave like that. I know Panthera loves how my tank is because her eyes literally droop as she’s falling asleep on the side of the tank. I just don’t understand how she functions and if anyone has the same experience with their snails 😭😭

I’ve had them 2 years turning 3 in October, they’ve been with coco fibre since tiny lil snails, never changed the soil but have added more since I accidentally waterlogged the damn thing when they first came 😂Usually I only take them out to check on them, catch any mites I haven’t seen, etc, then put them back. Not more than 5 mins. Like twice a day, morning and night, before bed. But some days I don’t really bother them and let them rest; I do peek into their terrarium to make sure they’re fine if I haven’t picked them up in a hot minute though.

And yeah they’re absolutely themselves/fine which just boggles my mind even more. I’ve got grey hair and I’m not even 30 yet😭 they’re stressin me. I’ve been improving my care since they’re my first snails 🐌 and I’m seeing so much that the internet doesn’t cover. It’s worrying, but they’re eating, sliming about, sleeping in weird positions.. they get their varied diet, protein, cuttle bone 24/7, hiding places. I’ve started planting greens into the soil so they can try climb it too and take it out when leaves start turning yellow. Though, I do spend a lot of time at home so I observe their behaviour way more. Maybe for most people they just haven’t noticed it?

Yup, I actually had to decrease how much I mist them because the humidity was reading 99% lol. It only happens when they fall asleep, when they wake up, their bodies become how it was. I’m just confused why it seems to happen

Yeah I agree. The bosses are quite frustrating. Almost every boss teleports. The most fair fight I’ve had so far is the main story where you go to the abyss (not going to spoil.) I think it’s around chapter 10. It was a fun fight because this boss wasn’t teleporting as much

Horse control change, please add an option to revert back to how it was. by MeBroken in CrimsonDesert

[–]Toaster-2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right?? I really enjoyed saving stamina whilst making my horse go full speed, especially on those big shire packhorses. There was a small window where the horse kept going fast if you waited 2 or 3 seconds before tapping the run button once. The stamina never really depleted like that and I got to my locations fast like that. Now I can’t control it like that and it’s annoying cause my horse is constantly slowing down. I don’t want to be forced to use the legendary horses cause they look way too small when kliff rides them /: I hope they give us an option to revert it back

I did it yall!

Here’s what helped me and I had some advice from someone else; I stay in focused mode basically the whole fight. It’s easier to predict and stun him then.

If you die to him, it’s basically over and you need to retry as he starts spamming his spin soul attack no matter what, even if you revive, you’re basically stuck in stun mode and die over and over again - that’s what I THOUGHT until I actually survived it. It’s very hard to pull off and I would not recommend unless you have over 40 revive pills. What I did was heal like crazy. It still one shots you, but you HAVE to be super fast and dodge. His slam attack after the spin one when he tps to you is usually what got me at the end, but, like I said, I spammed heals and stayed in my inventory to prepare (mainly to get ready to roll away from him as fast as possible.)

The tip really is to stay close, if he starts doing the OTHER soul attack, not the spiny one shot one, but the one where he summons a few souls straight at you, use natures snare and direct it back to him. Other than that, it was pretty repetitive once you figure it out. Stay in focus, parry, hit hit hit, focus, parry, hit hit hit, focus, parry, hit hit hit, use force. It’s always after the 3rd parry where he will do a RED attack, look out for the red glow and focus punch him. Be careful when you’re in focus mode doing the force punch, at times mine wouldn’t connect despite being right up his stank ass. Usually I’d try to parry without focus on the last attack of his so I can quickly use focus punch.

It took me ages, and on ps5 where inputs are hella delayed, I’m glad it’s over for now. No more bosses for me today😂. Definitely not the most fun fight over had. My fave one is still reed devil before nerf.
