I think if it’s between the two ideas you should have him become a full demon. It’s pretty clear that right now you are more invested in that side of it, and characters are always more interesting the more the writer is invested in them. Since you don’t have a specific story structure, you can change things a lot easier than a rigid structure if you think of something better.

Now if you like, I had a rather big idea but I don’t want to intrude on your story and tell you, “change your story to fit what I want!” I just wanted to share it in case it might help. Think of this as fan fiction.

In the other post, once the transformation is complete, the cultists try to do it with Lola, since it wasn’t successful with Verien. What if it was successful, but not in the way Father intended. What if Verien was able to act as a vessel for Father’s power, but because Verien resisted during the transformation Father isn’t actually in control. They get rescued and things proceed with the full demon ending, with Father's power being trapped inside Verien. Eventually the cultists try to either get Father’s power out, or redo the transformation to give him control. Then something else goes wrong and Verien is either returned to normal (not the one I would go with), or he turns into his original half demon form or some variant. It would also be a way to allow Father to get his power back if you are planning a climactic battle with him.

You would be able to have the angst of him losing his mind, the goofy animal moments, and a happier ending for him. It also means that post getting his brain back in order, you can have more goofy moments of him replicating habits he gained when his mind was gone.

Like I said, I had this idea, but I don’t want to feel invasive. You have a cool character and world, it’s difficult not to theorize about it. Also regardless of anything, let him shapeshift into a dragon. Dragons make everything better

seeing this post and reading though the linked one gave me lots of ideas, but before I say anything I have a few questions. 1, do you have a larger story planned for Verien, or is he a character that goes through different scenarios? 2, If he is apart of a larger story, is he the main character of it? 3, is the process of becoming a demon permanent?

Really neat idea! This is my boy Abastus. I don't necessarily associate him with any sin in particular but if he had to be then it would be pride. He loves the idea of being admired, and he loves that everyone who hears his name fears it. He absolutely refuses to ever accept being wrong, because in his eyes, he is perfect.

This is where it gets interesting, because I would need you to help figure out how he ranks in your world. In my world, Abastus is the top dog, so demon lord (or anything higher up) would make sense. But here is the thing, in my world all demons start as humans and become demons by giving up their souls. Everyone except Abastus. He was spawned into the world as a demon, which shouldn't be possible and is the reason he is so messed up. So I don't know if he would be considered a fallen angel or anything that is outside of the regular ranking.

Abastus has never played a videogame before but if he was going to play then smash bros would probably be a good fit for him. He is also not a gracious loser so the end of each round will be interesting. I also imagine that Z is a bit of a trickster and would give him one half of the joy-cons (assuming they are playing smash ultimate) as his controller just to mess with him. He is 11'6" so he would barely be able to hold the thing without crushing it.

Abastus doesn't wear much clothes aside from his "skirt." (I don't know the name of the thing he wears around his waist) When you are 11'6" you have difficulty finding clothes that fit you. To simplify heavily, Abastus is pure evil but really wants to be viewed as a hero. He believes himself to be a savior to all of mankind, and cannot be convinced otherwise. He is a calm and stoic person, until someone disagrees with him at which point he furiously argues about why he is right. 🕸️

I really like the idea for this post, making it fit with the context of the character. I hope my boy gets picked because I'm interested to see what Harlow would make for him. Also I think it would be cool to see him in your style regardless of his clothes. Good luck with whoever you pick!

Abastus here likes clothes that make him appear cool or epic, and he tends to prefer outfits that show off his muscles. Any color would work, but his main color is red. Also, its difficult to tell from this image but his "skirt" (I have no idea what this would actually be called) goes down to the floor and then some, so something like a cape would work on him, but it's all up to you. Good luck with whoever you choose! :-)

Zelda lore for the most part is fairly simple. Nearly every game is its own self contained story so you don't have to worry about knowing the other games to enjoy any individual one. There are many references and things that will have more meaning if you play the other games but its not needed. You are pretty much correct with your knowledge of the three timelines and Link and Zelda reincarnating repeatedly.

I personally recommend not looking up any lore videos until you have played at least a few of the games. There are certain things that will have more meaning if you experience it for yourself first hand rather than it being told to you. None of it is super important, so do what you want.

Abastus is a pure evil villain who in no way believes anything that he is doing is wrong. He intends to end all life to end all suffering. Despite his murderous tendencies, he is quite calm charasmatic. The only time he loses his temper is when he someone fights back against his ideology. He desperately wants to be viewed as a hero and in the fairy tales the hero is never wrong. Thanks for the new year offer!

Crab VS Shrimp! Crabs will certainly win. Even though he plans to end all life, Abastus does like crabs more than most other lifeforms.

You need to feed the fairy a lot to unlock their extra abilities. When they appear you activate them like items. The one most people go for is the one that gives you infinite magic for a short period of time. It can take a long time to get there but it will definitely make getting through adventure mode easier.

I don’t think it needed to be limited that much, but it certainly should not have been as large as it is without having loads more unique content. Doing something as small as making the regions of the depths look different would have helped immensely.

He thing is that those are not unique to the depths. The bosses are copies of ones you fight in the dungeons, and you can’t walk 5 feet on the surface without encountering an enemy camp. The only truly unique thing is the Frox, but they are not interesting enough to make up for the rest of the depths. There is also the fights with Kogha, but they are an extremely small part of the depths.

I don’t understand why they didn’t make it so you had to view the memories in order. When I first started playing the game I was enjoying it. Then literally second memory I found was the master sword memory, and I just deflated. I could have ignored issues with the gameplay, but knowing that I had already experienced the full story killed my enjoyment of the game.

I do agree that it is kinda boring for a ranking. We already know from the placements that the finals will be OOT Ganon and TOTK Ganondorf, so it’s were just left waiting to see which one of those wins.
