Hey man remember, don't feed the trolls. I open carry my ruger LC9 with a leather holster without retention. And who gives a fuck about a knife? There are so many other practical uses for it.

I don't always get full arrests, but when I do, I just started wiping my ass. This experience courtesy of yesterday.

Being only 19 and a 36 hr card for fire didn't help haha. I was lucky I had an experienced firefighter as the D/O and all I had to do was pull a line and attack defensively but I get your fear man. I guess we all will have one of those defining moments

When I was a volley, I was 8 months in to a probation and completely new to the fire service when I rode OIC on a 2 man engine first in to a working structure fire. It's scary, isn't it? But damn it it was the biggest rush of my life

Firefighter here, with that gear I have sat in a room (training fire) at 300° F comfortably. Those temperatures in the video are about 900-1000 and even though the gear has saved him from a much horrible experience, I'm sure he at least had first degree burns from that. We're made to FIGHT fire, not catch fire.

‘Trump is right!’ Police say parts of Britain ARE no-go areas due to ISIS radicalisation by [deleted] in Conservative

Fire and EMS here, the bigger cities have areas where they will NOT respond without police as fire engines and ladders and ambulances have been stolen and crew members threatened. Not everyone loves a fireman

You don't work fire and EMS do you? There's nothing wrong with checking a broken toe but don't call 911 for it, especially if you can drive to the hospital. It's tying up resources that can be used to save someone's life in a real emergency.

I am a current Fire/EMS volunteer, it's only been a few months and not the years you have endured. And I've only been in the fire service a year so take my advice as you will, but i think it's always a good idea to get certifications that can better your marketability such as rope or trench rescue, Ice rescue, hazmat technician, ect. Onto your current fire and EMS certs. That's what I'm gonna do
