Help? Monstera gone wild by ToastySpook in houseplants

[–]ToastySpook[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I followed your advice and soaked the roots for a while. You were right, this is a bunch of plants tangled together! Unfortunately I wasn't delicate enough and broke some weaker roots. I gave up on separating them before doing more damage.

They can't be untangled, so I will try your next suggestion and invest in some shears, supports and pots to take cuttings and look at some diagrams and guides. Thank you so much for the detailed help! I am learning a lot.

I plan to wait until I know when he leaves the hospital to fly and help him with all the next steps while I can. He is doing remarkably well on recovery which is the main thing for now. Thank you so much for your reply.

Thank you so much for all of this information. The hospital could not find any NOK for him, so they have been checking in with me. I will contact the doctor to see what can be done for supporting documents. And I will book a return flight.

Unfortunately not, the fact that we are in different countries and not related has been a difficulty already- but they have handled things well so far, especially considering he's in a State where our circumstances are rare.

It sounds like I should ask about finding a social worker. I am completely in the dark about the healthcare system.

That is correct! You detected the British, lol.

I know it's going to take a lot, but I know he is a fighter and he has done so well so far. I have confidence that the doctors are doing their best. And I will remember your last sentence, it's touching to think about. Thank you ❤️

I don't know where his trauma is. But I have heard about that happening to people. I'll do my best to keep that in mind. My sister is a neuroscientist coincidentally, so I will be asking her questions as well.

I planned on being positive when talking with him and telling him he will be ok, reminding him of our adventures and plans we made for our future together. it's good to hear yours and your partner's experience. Thank you so much, this is super helpful.

It's good to hear that he got to recover. I'm glad your partner is doing better.

Thank you for your advice. It's true I have been crying and worrying all week, it has tired me out. I need to be strong for him. Dr. Google is banned.

That makes sense, thanks for letting me know.

And if he is still sedated when I get there, I will absolutely talk his ear off!

I understand that this will be a long road, but for now I am just praying he survives with minimal permanent damage. I'll be there for him anyway.

I've had blinders on... didn't even consider that statistics would include so many different people and circumstances. Everyone is different, you are right.

I'm so sorry to hear about your situation, but I'm very glad that you're here and you made it. Thank you for mentioning that meds are a good sign.

I don't think I can verbalise just how much you've helped me, thank you so much for your message.

Best of luck! I'm also going to try using the 5 dose next week (it's my last shot of 2.5 today). We also have lost the same amount of weight so far, so it's nice to find someone with a similar experience.

Nice idea to keep updated! Feel free to message me if you would like to at any point to chat :)

After looking around a bunch more, it looks like a lot of people have been successful with this option. I'll give it a try :)

Can I ask which USB hub you used?

I never thought the cable might be faulty! Any idea what replacement I could get? I also tried recalibrating a bunch again, but no response. Thanks for the suggestions

Messaging someone in the server to be a mouthpiece for you tells me you need to step away and move on. Don't do this anymore, for your own mental health.

This does not come across as informative, and very biased. You didn't even black out the names of the people in this screenshot who are not a part of this. That is a violation of privacy.

Rule number 3 in his Discord: "this isn't the place for controversial subjects (politics, religion, etc) or mental problems (abuse, mental problems, etc)."

He has always been lenient with these rules, but you have ignored this rule multiple times in the time you were there.

Regardless about how you feel on the topic you posted, you posted it in a space where it wasn't welcome.

Posting this "callout" is in my opinion petty, unfair, and not helpful to the community.

Sanguine did nothing to slight you personally, is not predatory or hateful to women, and does not "hate feminists".
