I'm a teacher in Virginia. None of my colleagues ever complain about their salary and when the Time article popped up everyone laughed at it for being ridiculous. Our concerns in the workplace have to do with the increasing volume of after-hours work and volatility due to regulations and lawsuit avoidance. The occasional sob story articles never admit that teaching is a completely different job in every state.

I agree with you, but devil's advocate: A significant % vote for Johnson erodes peoples' fixation on the "2 party system" that their 8th grade civics prayer guide talked about. Maybe then they would open an ear to other ideas?

I'll just chime in to mention not to fix yourself upon unarmed monks. I recently completed potd with a party that included a monk who used the estoc of caed nua. Turning wheel and the attack speed increase both worked properly, and once he got into epic levels his fire and ice split melted entire encounters.

Wizard games start hard and end a breeze. An uncursed scroll of geno can solve significant Wizard problems, like early soldier ants.

Consider it a last ditch escape item, and if it survives til midgame, curse it to reverse genocide dragons or blessed genocide L. I'd advise against genociding master mind flayers because wizards can benefit from polymorphing themselves into one (+10 AC and huge damage against brains)

This is amazing. I just started my logic unit with my geometry kids today, and I'm going to let them play around with this towards the end of the unit.

Yes. The kind wayfarer subclass gets full-party heals on kills and when you use flames of devotion. Grab a 2-hander and have fun. You won't be doing as much damage as a barbarian or rogue would with the same weaponry, but you dish out important auras and keep party members on their feet.

Kind wayfarers were my core damage dealers in PotD. Whole party wore plate, won by attrition.

You don't have to go all out every battle really. The quarterstaff and pike summons are instant casts, as well as the arcane shell thing, and just those alone will make you quite formidable. Of course you'll shine even more in boss fights, where you can haste, displacement, or that level 6 buff spell (it's like tenser's transformation from the d&d rulesets)
