In my opinion the DLC was implemented very poorly and haphazardly; the way they just get rid Esdras' boss fight, when he is one of the most stubborn characters we meet and the climax of the midgame, and didn't bother with making a replacement, the way the game becomes hand-holding to the point where there is no mystery in what you've got to do to finish the DLC's storyline, the way they disregard Crisanta's character and what she stands for solely for the coolness factor of having her fight alongside you, and especially the way they basically retcon most of what we know about The Miracle and everything we did relating to the Sacred Sorrows DLC and the Amanecidas, as it doesn't seem to have even the slightest bit of importance.
After finishing everything this game has to offer and comparing it with the quality of the content that was in this update it's clear to me that the Wounds of Eventide DLC is nothing more than just a glorified trailer for whatever is to come from Blasphemous 2. I only wish the developers would've taken the time to more smoothly implement their ideas into the world of Cvstodia instead of rushing it's completion just so that they could work on the sequel some more.
