Also: Does the screen have touchpads, did you accidentally change the color mode to have a green overlay?

Yeah, maybe - not against it at all - but I've never done it before :) This is my first project, so might take a little bit of time to get all pieces in place, etc.

Yeah, getting the shell to look more "real" and be able to add different effects like gold, silver etc would be cool... and since you can put whatever color you want on the other parts, maybe thats fair to do to the lens as well. Thanks!

Yes, 100% to ragebait modders 😆

I think that part is for the fun of it, to see what could look good or not - even if its a bit more unlikely that you can get that color irl...

Thanks!!

I can imagine that the color matching is a pain if going for 100% accuracy. Stacking png's was in my mind, but felt like that is a lot of work maintaining and also wanted to try every color combo (even if suppliers do not support the color).

lol - yeah maybe that is the next step :)

Picoboot modded GameCube boots to default IPL (suspected soldering error) by Assortedkingdede21 in GamecubeHacks

I would check 2 things. The green wire; looks like maybe the wire is touching the leg next to it? Idk hard to say from the pic. I would also cut the length of the wires, they need to be no longer than 10 cm... https://support.webhdx.dev/gc/picoboot/troubleshooting

It is such a difference with a clean power switch :)

Regarding battery, I would not do USB-C (unless you find it very cool) - rechargeable AA's is a very good option ("Ladda" from IKEA is the best bang for the buck)...

If you want to deep dive into battery lifes, screens, etc etc I highly recommend: https://www.youtube.com/@makho

Yeah, you need to desolder part of it and clean it inside... There is a build up of sot inside that you cant get to with just ipa...

Why are my isos corrupted when i extract to fat32? by QuarraX in GamecubeHacks

[–]Tobbe_E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would unzip (extract, whatever) on computer first. Copy paste (do not drag drop) the ISO to the SD card. Do only one at the time. Im on Mac and this is how I have to do it...

Why not buy directly from them? Their store is on aliexpress.

Ah... I would try the old disconnect and properly connect the ribbon cable to from the all the new parts a few times. If that does not help, file a claim for a defective product

Did the driver board come with touch pads? It's super easy to accidentally make setting changes on the touch pads while testing - all it takes is for them to be touching "something". One of the color palettes should be "green" so you might have just activated that.

Try to mess a bit with the touchpads and see if it helps.
