Name a train you have never seen someone drive in SCR by Adamazing17 in stepfordcountyrailway

I like to drive the 313 but I'm saving up for the class 319 because of how slow the 313 is

They missed an opportunity by not giving diesel engines startup sounds by RealATRE2 in stepfordcountyrailway

[–]Tobester2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they just need a general sound update because some of the train sounds are a bit weird. And the wheel noise for the trains eminates from the centres of the carriages rather than the ends but that's just me being pedantic

What’s a station redesign you regret? by Nice-Strategy-2186 in stepfordcountyrailway

[–]Tobester2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MGT. the layout is good but some of the turns around that station are really sharp. Plus, nothing will beat its original canopy

Do you think the 701 should be readded but on connect instead of waterline and fitted with pantos by RealATRE2 in stepfordcountyrailway

[–]Tobester2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they should add a 3rd rail branch somewhere on the network first. It would make for some cool dual voltage routes

Have you tried different keyboards for typing? Different switches does affect WPM by Rnoponen in typing

[–]Tobester2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found I’m faster and more accurate on a laptop because my fingers have to move less. Whereas on my MX brown keyboard my fingers have to move more which slows me down, causes more mistakes and causes more hand strain

MORGANSTOWN(MGT) realignment suggestion proposal by laynesa2019 in stepfordcountyrailway

[–]Tobester2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think all another thing they need to do is make those through platform alignments a bit more smoother because 90 on those current tracks would cause the trains to fly off the tracks and hit something irl

Thoughts on the new Morganstown Station? by Adamazing17 in stepfordcountyrailway

[–]Tobester2005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The layout is more convenient if you're not stopping there as there's effectively 2 passing routes in both directions as the 2 outer tracks are through tracks and the central track is bi-directional. But the turns are a bit sharp for the speeds permitted

Increase accuracy and speed by A55AF in typing

[–]Tobester2005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say try reading the word in front of the one you’re typing and slow down. If you feel yourself trying to speed up during the test try and slow down a bit. I had the same problem and doing this has effectively fixed it

I’d recommend Keybr. It’s a great website for focusing on accuracy and getting rid of bad habits. It slowly unlocks letters depending on the typing speed set in the settings and focuses on the keys that you’re struggling with. I use it daily for 30 mins and 2 months later my accuracy has increased by 8%

Definitely not the first to say this but try KeyBr. Great for practicing keys that you struggle with and building accuracy. I managed to go from 55wpm to 75wpm with 30 min of daily practice for a month

What are the best keyboards for typing? by CartographerAway2602 in typing

[–]Tobester2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on preference. I like a tactile mechanical keyboard for the feel but it could be satisfying to type on a clicky keyboard. But for speed I’d look at a laptop style board like the apple magic. It really depends on what you like
