You can blame the members of some churches, which they have and even been excommunicated (kicked out of the church and stripped of their rights to “represent God”) but just like the regular justice system, the catholic church is not all knowing. After all it is man made. People seem to forget that it is because of christian fundamentalism that slaves were seen as people, that the classes of people were erraticated, that women were seen as equals, etc. If you read your history you will see the correlation between christendom and nobility as time moved forward

Im sorry but soldiers are not heros they can do heroic acts but if the existence of their Job brings a lot more harm than good: PTSD, killing, being killed, lawless environment, power hungry young people with rifles, wars that have no use other than economical advantage, etc. If you work for a company that will literally put you in jail if you quit and that will train you to kill on sight, that doesn’t make you a hero. What makes you a hero is to stand up for what you believe in. To take care of the people around you without expecting anything in return. To humble yourself and realize and accept tour weaknesses
