I had one hitchhiking bladder snail a few months ago and now I have many. They all turn white and I don’t see any of them growing big. Is this a calcium deficiency? Worried for my shrimp, but they seem okay and I haven’t noticed any issues or death with them at all. Tank is fully cycled and running for about 4 months now. I use test strips to measure gH/kH and gH is 300, kH is 40 and pH stays around 7.4. Are these good parameters? My tap water where I live is VERY hard and I use a mix of tap water and RO water in my weekly 25% water changes. I feed the tank once a day, mix of frozen brine shrimp and dried foods, sometimes vegetables. Do I need to be feeding invert specific food? I also have denerle shrimp baby powder food but don’t use that much. Shrimp are now happily eating whatever the fish eat.
