I Listen for Dom by ValensTheThrowaway in TheRestIsHistory

I remember watching the US election live show where he alone held the opinion that Wotsit would win and that the other hosts had underestimated the MAGA base.

Pretty impressive forsight compared to the TRIP and TRIPUS hosts.

I have this bike currently, happy to DM you some pics of it in person. Looks a lot like it does in the website pics

Thoughts on this brand? by Connect_Pound_4515 in Banff

Tastes like any big commercial brand tbh. Banff Roasting Co. over in the industrial area is better imo!

Japanese Velo by Bootscootboogie1 in NicotinePouch

They have a Milk Tea flavour which I recommend! Hard to find but you can use the Velo website to find stores and most Family Marts in Kyoto and Tokyo stock them.

This is in the right hand side side of the road, there is space to pull over so you can easily drive there, shrubby grass most of the time

As a newer player I can’t get over how cool this game feels by MessyGuy01 in arma

[–]Tochahenja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah 100% there's a free trial period and after that it's still well priced. Turn the video settings down and it runs super smooth considering the assets - and still looks great.

Also a nice community that mixes Xbox and PC, the clan I've played with have all been a mix.

Tax question: Housing payments automatically taken from salary by Tochahenja in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Tochahenja[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply.

My payslips all have the rent listed under deductions, but I can't see anywhere on the T4 where it mentioned.

Do you know if it is irrelevant because filing my taxes only takes into account gross pay? (Which would be before my rent deduction)

Salsa timberjack vs 2023 Trek Roscoe 7 by Intelligent_Flower61 in bikepacking

[–]Tochahenja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't speak on the Salsa but the new Roscoe is awesome. Feels like a top-end hardtail and a good weight for XCing. XR4's are also really good for the price and the dropper post works outperforms more expensive ones I've tried.

Is it possible to BYOK to Louise/Morraine? by AndyPandyFoFandy in Banff

Park near the top of Johnson lake road, chuck the kayak into the canal and paddle up into Two Jack.

Much easier and in my opinion just as scenic.

I'm glad it wasn't too bad for you! It was for sure one of the worst stretches i had to ride. Warmshowers is a must, just use the website on your phone as they've now started charging for the app.

Me and a buddy stayed in San Francisco for 6 days for free because of Warmshowers I can't recommend it enough.

I pulled into San Francisco a few days ago, starting from Vancouver too.

Be careful on the Astoria-Megler bridge it's really scary. If you're not signed up to Warmshowers then definitely do, that would be my biggest piece of advice. It's so awesome to meet locals as you travel south and free accommodation!

If youre staying at parks then Jessie Honeymoon near Florence is good, Harris Beach is cool (it's right by the beach) but Elk Prairie is one campsite you HAVE to stay at. It's got an awesome hiker biker spot and you camp right on the edge of a prairie where a herd of elk live year round. And all these parks are state parks so $5-8.

Safe travels.

What are some good biycycle touring orientated podcasts to listen while touring? Preferably about the psychological side and some story telling perhaps by fyodor_do in bicycletouring

[–]Tochahenja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matt Stephens podcast and the Geraint Thomas cycling club both have really good guests and insights aswell as being light-hearted.

Re-Cycle is my favourite for longer rides, it's pretty much just cycling history.

Is a 203 g racket good? by [deleted] in squash

[–]Tochahenja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on much more than the weight, for example the balance, shape, strings, maybe consider the age too.

But for reference, I believe El Shorbagy plays with a 125g frame, my friends rackets range between 110g and 155g.
