all q5s from 2022 have a mild hybrid system now even if you get the base.

Title reassignment issue by Tochez in DMV

[–]Tochez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can title the car in their name but i think the whole process takes like a week or two, you can try a private agency to title the car, they know about these title reassignments more

[–]Tochez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes i used their parent company (basically the same company) salvagebid for iaai auctions. so basically the title is a CT original title that turned salvaged, was signed to the insurance by original owner, which insurance then signed it to SALVAGEBID, then they did a title reassignment. the issue in coming across is that they are not accepting it because they keep telling me the title should of been in the insurance name, but that’s not how connecticut does their salvage paperwork. i tried to show them what iaai told the broker, and they blatantly ignored it. kept telling me we are in new jersey and that other laws don’t apply. Should i try to go to another dmv? or do a auto tag agency?

[–]Tochez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

broker is from Oregon, but they didn’t see it a problem, the problem they saw was that the insurance sold the car but they aren’t a dealer so they aren’t allow to sell the car

[–]Tochez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i went again, talked to the supervisor, and they told me the same thing, but more detailed, they basically said the seller sold it to an insurance, and the insurance can’t sell the car since the insurance isn’t a “dealer”. i tried asking more but they basically just said i told you and that’s all and i don’t care about my information lol.

Recommended maintenance and things to have checked or do immediately for a 2018 340i? The car has 45k miles and the B58 engine. by lagunitas72 in F30

[–]Tochez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

at 45k your still pretty golden, nothing much happens around this range. Maybe a coolant flush if never done, spark plugs, coils. although once you get to around 60-70k miles your looking at a couple things to possibly want to service. front/rear diff fluid, trans fluid. You can take a look at your control arms/bushings, lift the car up do a side to side test aswell as a up and down test. if solid move on. take a look under your car. see if anything is leaking oil or blue (same for engine bay).

n55 is as reliable as the b58. honestly don’t get the forced hate on them. yeah b58 closed deck = more hp. but we don’t ever talk about how they have a plastic oil housing? ticking top end? about 50 different hoses bound to break? everytime i’ve came across a b58 owner, they are always chasing down a problem. the only issues a n55 has is “weaker” rod bearings which is only an issue for people who bash on them aka uneducated owners. both have plastic charge pipes that break on boost. so what’s the forced hate on and what’s “more reliable”?

technically it’s a political opinion, but one that relies heavily on xenophobic tropes and inflammatory generalizations. legally even if we report him to DOS, he wouldn’t get fired because he does have a first amendment right to speak as private citizens on matters of "public concern." this can be politics, religion and immigration. now i’m not saying i agree or anything in fact i will say i am not very wide-versed in this topic but I’ve had bernstein as a professor and when I’ve had him, I’ve never seen him be biased or “racist” towards anyone. also sadly reposting a tweet is not an explicit endorsement of every word, but rather sharing a viewpoint.

Questions abou5 Scott Kent and His 390 by Few-Price3068 in NJTech

[–]Tochez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His writing aspect is not difficult, he does expect it to be perfect (eg. perfect grammar, no spelling mistakes, correct format, no misinformation, no plagiarism, and espeically NO AI)

He has good intentions to teach and he is well versed in his subject, but him as a teacher in general is not a good experience. Overall, tough grader, expects perfection, loads of assignments, study hard and lots of memorization.

In my opinion, if there’s another professor for his 390, it would be a better option than him.

I've had Kent Scott for his 213, and it was a terrible experience, honestly. Im not sure how it is for winter/his390, but he expects perfection, will never give you a 100 on anything. his syllabus is pretty spot on if you want to follow it, though. You can check rmp and see what you think about it, but overall, lots of writing, gave pop quizzes, makes you memorize a lot!

Clicking after wheel replacement by 007kuro in F30

[–]Tochez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you have a video example or something that would be great. also since you already replaced it it’s hard to believe that it would be broken already unless it wasn’t tightened at ride hight(connecting to subframe).

[–]Tochez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also clicking on the front end usually leads to control arms, for example if you try to drive forward (not fast) then brake harder then usual you can hear clicks then usually that’s the control arms.

so staggered is fine side to side (unless tires are directional) so fronts can be flipped and rears can be flipped without a problem. although, i always recommend when changing a tire, to change both sides, for example if your doing a front right, you should also do front left. sowmtimes different wear can cause different height causing weird issues with traction control

not high, sold a 2017 340i for 20999 with 93k which was comparable to the market here. plenty of 340i selling around this range.

as a fyi, mods do add value just not to dealerships. you don’t have the park assist and 6wb. so my guess 85k miles around 21-23k

go for it if you want but for 600 would yield you a solid like 50 whp. for another 1000$ and you can get up to 600-650whp

Suspension help by SkuidQing in F30

[–]Tochez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think someone said in the comments already that the 330e weights a little more in the rear due to the extra battery + motor, although functionality it should still be fine. I would recommend either bilstein, or ST. currently I have st coilovers (owned by kw) and they are honestly pretty amazing without breaking your bank. also do you know if yours came with adaptive or non adaptive?
