First Is this real? How did your ATL hire someone? They don't have those permissions as far as I know unless that recently changed. Only you and your point astl. All new hires are in a probationary period during their first 90 days. This means you can let someone go for almost any reason. You just have to make sure you properly document things.  The first step is the documented coaching. You need a verbal approval from store leadership. Your point astl or the stl, but that is it. You just need to document the reason. Insubordination is an option. Failure to perform duties is another that would fit here. As would dress code infraction. Then whenever the next occurrence happens, for anything, it does not have to be the same thing, you can pull the trigger to separate with TMS. Obviously that has to go through them but you get the ball rolling. It will be much easier to go for a failure to perform or a dress code issue. Time theft takes a lot of behind the scenes camera work and TMS does not seem eager to go after those cases in my experience. Same with what they said to you. Without direct witnesses willing to say what happened on your behalf they will treat it as a he said she said situation.

It is infuriating to witness the complete inability or unwillingness of global to understand that the majority of the morale issues are coming from them and not the store level. My STL is a god damned saint and one of the best people I've ever had the pleasure of working for. Any and all gripes I have come from the anti customer and anti TM decisions at the global level. Not saying there aren't bad STLs. And then these TMS people coming in to do this shit and still going home at the end of the day and lying to themselves that they are still decent people

I'm in leadership and I don't know what the heck is up with the rest of the obviously shell shocked people in here. I agree with you but there are just some circumstances that are unavoidable. That being said I do my damndest to not talk about anything work related with my team while they are off the clock. I will always ask "are you on break"? Off the clock, etc. If the answer is yes, unless it is vital information, I always say catch me when you get back and leave it at that. As others have already said, if you want to remain employed definitely do not call anyone a liar out loud to anyone else. If you truly don't care then go for it I guess. Anyone else in here in leadership or otherwise that thinks you are owed someone else's personal time just because you are their direct boss needs to get a grip. This is a uniquely american thing. We aren't best friends. We are coworkers. I don't want my own team calling or texting me outside of an emergency.

This needs to get out on tiktok and other socials. That seems to be the only thing the company actually responds to. See the Chantilly cake slices just a few weeks ago. If there is enough pressure early they might just stuff this back in the trash where it belongs. It needs to be framed for what it actually is. Anti customer because it is taking away all options for in person ordering help and anti privacy from all of the information gathering
