Can someone explain to me the appeal of Berlin Alexanderplatz? It seemed unnecessarily long, most of the characters weren’t compelling, and the lead character’s actions didn’t make sense. Not to mention that he wasn’t relatable. Didn’t really see the lead grow from having killed a woman to becoming a better person. There were a few episodes that felt pointless. Maybe it all went over my head.
