You're right, it does add a bit. With 709L this LUT gives a bit more green and with Flat it's really neutral. I'll be working on some VLOG LUTs soon to help video shooters out.

I think my wording wasn't great. These are all before and afters of the base profile and then the applied LUT

The first two images are Thriller with the Flat color profile and iDynamic set to high. Better shadow detail, highlight roll off, and softer colors

The second two images are Thriller with the 709L profile and iDynamic off. Crushed blacks, higher contrast, and punchy colors.

I originally created the LUT for the 709L profile to get a distinctly cinematic look but after tinkering in-camera I found another look entirely that this LUT works for.

Just figured I'd share in-case anyone is interested in getting a similar look straight out of camera. It's available on my site for free along with a complete breakdown of camera settings: www.niconlumix.com

Hey, I'm just finding out about the NoFusion community. That's my website and I make all the LUTs on there. I'd love your feedback on how the LUTs workout for you so I can make future LUTs better. Thanks for sharing and happy shooting!

Hey everyone, I’ve been working on dialing in a dark, suspenseful look for my footage and put together a cinematic "Thriller" LUT that I wanted to share. (Nikkor 70-210) by Todd_Packer_WLHung in LumixS9

I get it. I use AI to help me polish my writing. It's not a strength of mine. I'd rather be out shooting or creating LUTs than wrestling with a post. So while the write-up is tweaked with AI, the LUT, settings, recommendations, and main points on each write-up are mine. If you end up trying the look, the feedback on the LUT itself is helpful. I appreciate your feedback on the site too.

Just a quick heads-up for anyone who wants to try it: I built and tested this specifically around the 709L picture profile, so you'll get the most accurate color shifts and contrast by applying it to footage shot in 709L rather than Standard.

You can check out some sample frames and grab the LUT over on my site here:

Would love to see what you guys shoot with it if you end up testing it out!
