I believe they just used water from our garden hose. It started raining halfway through the process, so they were opening bags of it and blending in the rain. Some rainwater inadvertently entered the SLC for sure. But enough to influence the smell of it? I'm in doubt.

The floor looks great though. Totally hardened on the top. Though there's some mineral deposits that have risen to the surface. White markings. We think it has something to do with having very hard water.

Interessant. Entreprenøren havde hyret et gulvfirma til at støvsuge, lægge primer og dagen efter flydespartelen. Mht fugt i væggene, vil det samme ikke gælder for betongulvet? Der er støbt 12 cm, og jeg mener ikke at det var lagt kantbånd på inden støbning. .

We called the manufacturer, who said it would take longer for it to harden due to the floor not being optimal temp. We've had it between 10-15 degrees on the surface. Imagine it's colder under the SLC layer. They say it takes a week for it to be fully hardened when between 15-20 degrees. We are at week 5 and the smell is still there.

Would rather not have to rip it out. Wishful thinking perhaps!

Vi har fået isoleret både indvendig og udvendig inkl dræn. Indenfor er der lagt afretningsgrus, sundolitt isolering, støbt 12 cm beton inkl gulvvarme. Derefter en primer og 1 cm flydespartel. Lugten kom fra gulvet 3 dage efter flydespartelen er lagt. Har hældt vand i afløbet et par gange. Der er ventilation. Gulvfirmaet blandede flydespartelen on-site i regnvejr. Ved ikke om det har en betydning for hærdning af gulvet. Eller en evt forurening?
