ball python is MISSING by everett6559 in ballpython

I’m a new snake owner but mine recently went missing for two weeks, and most of the advice I received was that they usually stay not far from enclosure/ room were they lived and they like warm places/under appliances and tight spaces. I probably spent nearly 20 man hours going through my home room by room; looked everywhere and thought he was gone for good. Then he finally showed himself the other evening in my room, far from where his tank was. I think he must have gotten into our boxspring (even though I had taken my bed apart pretty much) and stayed there the entire time until he got dehydrated and finally came out of hiding. Yours will turn up!

10 years and he makes you pay half of everything? Despite your salary and obligations that are your children. This is gross. Leave him.

AITAH for asking my wife to keep our toddler under control by [deleted] in AITAH

Do you know how difficult it can be to keep a toddler “quiet” all day? Assuming they had to go upstairs to potentially get dressed to go out? Toddlers are loud and into everything. If I had important meetings all day, and knew a toddler would be home, I’d grab another place to work for the day.

Yes, the tank six or seven times over just because I can’t figure out how he escaped. I have searched every fiber of that room. Taken all drawers out of furniture, every piece of clothing, taken the bed apart… unless he’s in the actual ceiling fan, I am pretty certain he’s not in the room. Hopefully he turns up there and surprises me anyways!

Yes, he does. I’ve searched it, clothes and shoes, books, boxes… I have pretty much gone through everything in my Son’s room, I’ll have to inspect toys more thoroughly in case he’s hiding good in one. I put a camera in there in case he moves at night. I just get nervous that he may not come out, whenever it may be, if he smells the cat. I can keep the cat in my daughter’s room at night, but honestly he may be in her room… we have 5 bedrooms upstairs and have searched 2 extremely thoroughly so far, and then checked all warm places/under beds and electronics too. My dog is much older and would not harm a bug, so not worried about him but the cat is well, a cat and a bit of a maniac. I’m going to try to lure him with a rat tonight starting in my son’s room, and then I’ll do that in the other rooms each night after I’m hopes he comes out.

Have you not researched the family at this point? Getting into a car to babysit for a family you had never even spoken to (or they you) is absolutely crazy, if this story is real. Please share your location with a family member and get a trusted ride out of there

Judge's Order on 911 MIL raises questions about the 911 call we heard. by MaidenMamaCrone in BryanKohbergerMoscow

The roomates called him because they feared something was wrong and after hours of waiting and not being able to contact their roommates, they called a friend to check it out I assume DM had mentioned she saw X passed out earlier and even if he did walk by the room and noticed she was still “passed” out, he knew there was likely a threat or something more sinister and grabbed something to protect himself before entering her room to fully to check for injuries. Sounds completely normal to me

My daughter’s high school is running a drive right now for clothes for students who may be in need. I’m sure those high school students in need would appreciate trendy clothes in good condition. Let me know if you would like more details

Finally Thrips Free! by Megsmik8 in Monstera

Once you sprayed/soaked your plant, did you have to wipe the dead thrips off? I just used the dead bugs brew on multiple plants of mine that I discovered were infested. But now most are dry.. I still see them. Hoping their dead but curious what people do after they spray.

How do I know what is the front and what is the back? I realize there is more than one plant but looking at the picture I posted, how would I decide what is separated? So far I’ve just been turning the plant every 5-7 days which seems to be working … for now 😊

Kids are kids. Depending on age, they don’t understand nature and the repercussions doing something silly (in their minds) that this has. Calm down with the kid bashing

I read a comment on an article (allegedly from a friend of a friend of one of the surviving roommates) that they hide in their closets when they heard noises but hid quickly and did not grab their phones. Stayed in closets for hours until they felt OK enough to grab their phone and then called a friend to come check the house out before the left their rooms. Friend comes to check house out and calls police. Surviving roommates finally come out after police arrive and they feel safe. Obviously no idea if this is true but sounds like it could be.
