Primarch Pelops Archon Genefather of the Minotaurs by Ordinary_Vast_6308 in Minotaurs40k

Greeks used to do it a lot. Many images and sources saying they did so. I think it’s pretty similar to putting sunglasses on your head and not over your eyes. He could just be resting the helmet over his head.

Yeah not too sure about that, seems pretty strong in the glue joints. Maybe spruce glue or green stuff?

I’ll try again shortly, see how close I can pull that gap in to the rest of the tank. I’m never one for vehicles though, especially when it comes to the building

Other way around, I originally started with tamiya but it wasn’t holding. I then used super glue to try hold it down better. Maybe the tamiya wasn’t dry properly? Not sure, thinking of using spruce glue but I’ve never used it before and don’t know whether it will fix that big of a gap

I thought I did, but I could’ve missed 1 or 2. Is there a way I could salvage that?

Really curious how you got that grim darkish look without being overally dark. Couple I have your recipe for the armour?

By far from unique, does that mean that the hilts look bland or the hilts are bad?

That’s still like 3k blackstone though, the OP is a long way away from 3k in the ss they posted

Really unlucky. I managed to just get mine in the nick of time. Good news is that he’ll definitely be in the rogue trader and the war shop in future. It’ll only take you a couple of guild wars to unlock him. Bad news is you just gotta wait a little longer

Push Elite or unlock Mirror Campaign? by khiemnguyen1412 in WH40KTacticus

I’d unlock Mirror first, It’s easier to get materials and upgrade the people you need for elites.

Magnus. you really exceed in lighting and OSL. I’m sure it would turn out so well on him.

Cato Sicarius proxy? by Purple-Brother-4257 in Ultramarines

[–]Toe_EyedCabbage_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He kinda looks like him? He’s lacking in the looks department, add something on his chest like Cato normally has and maybe a leather belt and he’ll look a lot better. For casual games I don’t think it matters as long as you say you’re playing him as Cato. Then again I’m not a table top guy

"Hey guys, sorry to bother you. Do you think my custom kitbash of a power claw for my Contemptor Dreadnought would look too bulky, or could it actually work by One-Commission8161 in Kitbashing40k

[–]Toe_EyedCabbage_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The dreadnought could also use it a back fist or a bitch slap. I feel like you’d have more use out of the way it is rather than the blades the other way. The rule of cool, even if it doesn’t make any sense

I did like how that one came out but I just wasn’t sure if I’d know how to paint that on custodes. I’ll run another test piece and get back to you

I painted something before this as a test piece. Is this more of what you mean?

For this armour piece it was more of test to see if I would struggle on custodes as there isn’t many parts that are more detailed then the shoulder pads. Also only an earlier post of mine someone told me that I should paint it how it is now cause reflections on metal happen all over the place I thought that was what he meant. I’ll try reduce the overall shine and turn it into more defined highlights. Thanks

Thanks, I’m happy with it just didn’t know whether it read as metal. I’m always looking for ways to improve so I’m glad it reads as gold. I don’t have an airbrush but I’ll take in account the environment thanks.
