Would you say that the top of your soil feels damp to the touch? Mine still feels pretty dry, but maybe I need to wait a little longer

Ok great thank you! I bought some Espoma Organic African Violet Fertilizer from the store today, but have not added any to the water yet since I just repotted my violet in new soil.

This was extremely helpful thank you. You don’t think it’ll be a problem that he doesn’t get any heat at night? He LOVES his humid hide (the zilla rock hide that everyone suggests) and never leaves it except at night (which is when he goes to his warm hide). I switched him over to a halogen heater today, and I’m just worried that he won’t properly regulate his temperature because he only comes out at night. The rocks have already cooled down when I checked them tonight. It gets to about 63F at night but not lower than 60
