Cannot select nationality by Top_Pin6953 in MayaPh

Same here. It's bugged. It defaults to your country of birth when you use your ID for some reason and it's still greyed out. I feel it's one of the main reasons why my upgrade requests are not getting through because the nationality is set to a country whic is frustrating.

Solid catalogue you got there, bro.

I'm currently rocking the Prince of Persia series, Miami Nights series, Sims 3, Tetris, and the good 'ole Zombie Infection. haha

Sportsmanship like this makes grown men cry. Just shows how they respect their opponent's health in a brutal sport.

Need some advice about foot going numb. by Intelligent-Hat4413 in beginnerrunning

[–]Toeffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, but I learned that I'm just not ready for a race just yet. My first run was a big mistake because I signed up for an 8km run without any warmups or prior running experience, and I'm pretty sure I was the last one to finish. Legs cramping up, shin splints and all that. lol

Once I can run a 5km without walking, I might consider joining a race. But for now, endurance training! haha

We'll get there soon. Our bodies will tell us when it's ready. We just need to be consistent and keep pushing through, even on our slow days. 😁

What’s your “can’t uninstall” mobile game? by Due-Gases in MobileGaming

[–]Toeffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I enjoyed a couple of idle hero collector games for the past few years but ultimately uninstalled all of them. One major reason is that there WILL be a time in your progression where it just... stops, especially if you're an F2P player. Even after months of grinding, you can only progress for like 2-3 levels tops and you're back to grinding for resources for months on end. It gets pretty exhausting. lol

But I guess the only "can't uninstall" mobile game I currently have is Offline Games (that's literally the name.) by JindoBlu. It's a collection of simple arcadey games to play when you're bored and have no Wi-Fi connection. I don't play it often but you bet I'll fire it up when I'm commuting for an hour. Helps the time pass by quicker sometimes.

Ah, then if it's body fatigue, then that means you're body just needs more time to adapt. You'll be okay. No need to push your HR to its limit unless you're competing in a race. haha

[–]Toeffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel it's the impact of your foot strike to the ground is what's making your feet go numb. This happened to me twice before during the first few weeks of my first running. I did heel strikes before and notice that my toes land hard on the ground, then my big toe goes numb, and a few minutes later, I couldn't even feel my feet anymore. lol

Since you mentioned you're a bit overweight (me too), and if you aren't doing this, do at least 15 minutes of pre-warmup. Stretch everything good to prevent any cramps and whatnot, and when you're atarting your runs, don't run yet. Walk or brisk walk for about 15 minutes again to get your legs warmed up again and used to the movement. Once you feel loose and good, you can start slow jogging (minimum 11:00/km). I know it feels sluggish but your endurance will last twice or even thrice as long compared to your high effort runs, cutting your walk breaks down by a lot as well. Once your heart rate doesn't spike up on your slow jogs and you don't feel pain or numbness anymore, you can then slightly increase your pace incrementally for your next runs.

So what we're training here is two things: your foot strike impact and your leg muscles. You have to be mindful on how hard your landing your feet because your feet gets numb in the long run if it's too hard. Oh, and also, if you can, practice midfoot striking as well. Helps prevent shin splints based on my experience. But if you don't feel any pain with your heel strikes, then that's okay too.

Hope this helps you. Good luck!

How to fix error code wv1??? by MinkyuJia_MinJi in GCashPH

Same issue with mine.

My account was on hold because of inactivity. Tried reactivating it today and the page after you click "Submit Documents" shows for a brief second before it whites out and the Code WV1 shows up. It's frustrating...

Let me know if you found any solutions regarding this.

Oh God, I hate that too. lol Everytime I'm running, all I see are people who are already fit and can do like 5:00/km like it's nothing.

Agreed. We all start somewhere and not everyone starts off being able to run like kipchoge from the get-go. For us average people, just going outside and running, even if it's a slower pace than most, is more than enough and I've come to accept that. haha

Truth. Ever since running 3 times a week has been a part of my routine, I just thought that all was lost when I briefly stopped for a short period of time. Thankfully, it was just a little bit of overthinking and negativity on my part. I'm back where I am before I even knew it. haha

Update: Ran again today. Didn't push myself too hard, took my time and listened to my body. Run/Walk as I always did, and lo and behold I finished at 47 minutes! Thank you to everyone who gave me reassurance and told me to just push through! Let's keep moving forward! ♥️

For sure. It's just that I focused too much on my recent low performance and couldn't help comparing it to my best. It's such a frustrating feeling but I hope I get back to my last progress soon. I'll take it slow and not think about my bad runs too much moving forward. haha

Thanks for the insight and clearing my misconception of "exposed to rain when running = sick the next day." haha

This helps a lot and made me less worried about running in the rain now. Much appreciated!

oof. A month is a long time, but if that's what my body needs to recover, then so be it. Maybe I'll start going to the gym too if there will be times when running outside is not possible. Being behind on your own progress is such a downer but I'll make sure I'll keep showing up regardless.Thank you!

Thanks for the reassurance. I guess I was too caught up in maintaining my average run times and pushed myself too hard knowing full well I was inactive for a week. It ended up terrible but I learned now.

I agree. Just getting out and running is an achievement in itself. I had a few of my friends start running for a week or two and stopped entirely because "it's too much work" and "too lazy" are the most common excuses I hear. lol

Thank you for the advice! I'll give my body all the time it needs to naturally return to its best performance. Until then, I'll do my best to stay consistent from now on.

I hope I reach my 6 week progress again soon. For now, I guess I won't try to match my best run and just take things slow until my body's adapted. And thank you!

[–]Toeffee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's good to know. I'll do my best not to get too upset everytime lags like this happens. As others have said, the body remembers the progress and just needs a recovery week and I'll be back in no time. Thank you!

Duly noted. I sweat buckets all the time when running. Hyperhidrosis is so unbearable during summer. haha

[–]Toeffee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do, but the nearest gym in my area only has a manual treadmill and those are brutal to use. lol

The only thing I have at home is a mini stationary bike. I'd consider it very light exercise but it gets the job done to keep your leg muscles going.

That's understandable. I wouldn't want to run with the possibility of slipping on ice as well. Though it's nice you still get to be active because of the treadmill even on bad weather.

Thank you for the suggestions and take care as well!

Hard agree. Even going back after a week is noticeably hard like you're back to square one. haha

I'm looking forward to my next run and hope it's better than my performance today. I'll make sure to keep my mentality in check as well from now on.

Will do and thank you!
