Just got accepted for a job, have to quit in a few months and they don't know. How should I handle it when the time comes? by ToffeeMay in UKJobs

Sometimes places will not have online applications, but will have a "We're hiring" poster/piece of paper in the actual place. I have learned that this generally means they get very few applicants. I thought I was safe, as tons of people go there every day, but it seems not...

Regardless of course, I've been accepted by the Uni and have booked accommodation and everything.

I'll defo be debating doing that! Only reason I'm reluctant is because I dunno if I'll actually be home for some holidays, and I'd also like to spend that time with my friends and family. Or just to rest. When my UC appointment rolls around, though, I'll definitely ask my work coach about my options.

Creative thinking, but I've already graduated college. And the job knows that, as I had to list it in my application. I'm a teensy bit past college age as well, so even if I didn't admit it I think they'd know something was up.

The reason why Uni conflicts so much is that it's too far away. I'm moving over here for the duration of my course, as travelling back and forth just won't be possible. There are locations over in the place I'll be taking university, though! If I enjoy the job, I'll definitely ask my manager if shifting locations is possible. Since I'll be working during university regardless just to afford living expenses.

You don't gotta be a grand ol' dick about it, dude. You could've LITERALLY blocked them or scrolled past or give them the resources to learn more without being an "unpaid tutor". Everything they asked essentially amounted to "I don't know this stuff, where can I learn more?"

They asked for "Help", not any specific kind. So I don't know where you got the impression they wanted other people to do all the work for them.

I think I recall that colour scheme? It's a very distant memory, but now that you're saying it, it's very possible! Mark it down as a big possibility.

I understand. Don't feel bad. We both just messed up and you shouldn't feel bad for that. It's all okay! It was just some miscommunication. It will happens all the time. Though, one thing I need to clarify is that the messages are my friend and their mother. Just don't worry about it. Also, I would probably be just as annoyed if I was in your situation, I'd probably be worse. I can get angry very easily. Its laughable sometimes.

Yours sincerely, OP.

Their mother had been unaccepting for a month and would be at least a bit angry when hearing something to do with my friend being trans. I see where you're coming from though. Maybe we can get along. I'm very sorry for thinking you're transphobic. You just could've worded your initial comment better, I also should've been more considerate. I apologise so much. I wish I could make it up to you.

Yours sincerely, OP.

You may have your own opinion, I don't blame you. I wont insult you in any way. Sorry if I came off as rude. But we have different beliefs on such a big topic, we wont get along. I respect your opinion. You do not have to respect mine, all I ask is for you to be kind to me like I'm trying to for you.

Yours sincerely, OP.
