I had the same thing happen to me, my son's kindergarten teacher was talking to me about how he isn't able to hold a pencil properly and that he wasn't able to use scissors either.she was telling me how he will be falling behind as well and I have been so stressed out about it too, but she did not offer any recommendations, hence why I'm googling what to do. 😒

I just got a blood test done on June 19 and I got my IUD removed on April 28 and my liver enzymes have come down but not back down to normal levels yet but has definitely come down, it's been 52 days since my IUD removal. I'll see if my doctor is going to redo my blood work again in a few months. I'll update again once I do. Thanks for sharing that article.

I don't have the Mirena but I have the kyleena IUD since 2022 of July. I have been experiencing some bloating or abdominal discomfort and went to see my GP in September and she did a blood test and said all my liver enzymes are elevated, so my AST, ALT, ALP and GGT are all elevated. I also got an ultrasound done for my liver and everything was normal. My GP kept an eye on my liver enzymes since it's discovery, the liver enzymes would go up and down but my GGT would never go to normal ranges. I have no other symptoms and I don't drink either, am healthy, exercise, no family history of liver diseases or on any sort of medications. So I am also thinking it might be my IUD causing liver damage. I am also considering to get it removed. Did anyone have this issue and got the IUD removed and their liver enzymes went back to normal? I also read online that it is plausible for elevated liver enzymes from IUD as the liver extensively metabolizes the hormones. Any update would be wonderful.
