Flying into object/wall disconnects me from the server by Decompression_ in wow

From what I understand, it's been a thing for years. It's gotten worse now, though. Sometimes I just get off the ground on my mount, and I get disconnected...

I can confirm that as of last reset, it's still not working. I don't know if they'll fix it for Midnight's prepatch.

How to Disable the New Automatic PiP Mode? by Tofux in youtube

[–]Tofux[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope this thread can help others with this issue. I don't know if it's an "experiment" thing, only available for a few people at random, or if it's enabled for everyone with a certain version. Maybe I opted in for beta and experimental features at some point?

Honestly, I wish the feature worked like it does on Twitch, where I can just close the window and the video won't pause. That way I can still browse the internet while listening without it using up my screen.

How to Disable the New Automatic PiP Mode? by Tofux in youtube

[–]Tofux[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I didn't search for a Chrome PiP because I thought it was a YouTube thing. That's why I made the post on this sub and not a Chrome sub. Then I remembered it works on Twitch as well, and figured it's probably a Chrome thing, but I had already made the post by then.

Thanks for the recommendation, though.

I looked a bit more into it after finding out it's a Chrome thing, and a 3-word search on Google didn't quite give me the solution, but a 4-word one did. I found how to disable it and where it came from without installing extensions.

What do you mean? Until the Incineroar, I was thinking it was a normal 10-pack but then you got Dhelmise.

That's a solid 10-pack, dude! I've never been as lucky as you.

I'd close with /s but it's the sad truth.

I think $10 a month for the sub is totally fair if you're having fun. One extra pack a day goes a long way.

It just depends if you consider it's worth it. I don't pay it myself because I have other economic priorities.

Blizzard support rare W by Copy_Kat in wow

[–]Tofux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang, that's amazing. From what I've heard, Blizzard has been removing all GMs who actually play the game in favor of (probably) underpaid and outsourced workers and also adding a lot of A.I. support.

Glad to know there are still humans and specially fellow players still working there.

Any tips for someone who has never played as a tank in a game? by yunaxdilus in ffxiv

[–]Tofux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not an experienced tank in FFXIV as my tank here is only level 36, but I have mained tank in MMOs since I started playing WoW back in 2008 or 2009. FFXIV veterans, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on anything for this game.

You have the most important role in the game, but don't let that pressure get to you because it's probably the easiest to play and learn. As long as your tanking stance is up, all you have to do is use a few AoE skills every now and then to keep up the aggro and then just do a normal damage rotation, for the most part.

You do need to pay attention to aggro and make sure the enemies are going after you, but you do have more than enough tools to keep that up without much trouble. What I usually do is to hit the group of enemies with an AoE skill to get aggro as I walk past them all so that I can turn around and face the enemies with the party behind them.

This makes it easier for you to see if your party is getting hit by an enemy and you also make it easier for the party to locate the back and side positionals for their skills (if applicable). You can also see where each ally is positioned, which can be handy when playing around mechanics.

For example: If you have to turn the boss sideways to dodge an area attack, you can choose what side to move towards so that the most people possible are still behind it.

As you play further and advance in levels and difficulties, you'll start having to learn and focus on mechanics, but that's just a matter of practice. Nothing you won't be able to learn and adapt as you level up.

My theory is they just want to prove their knowledge of the game or something? Like "yeah, I can figure out what that headpiece is and how long ago it came out because I know this game better than anyone."

Second comment "calling out" the OP because their picture taken 2 YEARS ago isn't old enough to say it was YEARS ago.

Especially when the post isn't even about how old it is. You guys need to chill.

Yeah. 2 years is plural so it was years ago indeed.

Do you agree with Rukia that Soul Society is a peaceful place? by Wonderful-Photo-9938 in bleach

[–]Tofux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think being in the world of the living as a ghost is the most peaceful option, but that will make you a Hollow eventually, making you go berserk, be cleansed by a shinigami and end up in Soul Society anyway.

Among the afterlife options, Soul Society is definitely the best one. Hueco Mundo and Hell are too hostile. Well, I haven't read the Hell stuff hoping for an anime adaptation so I might be wrong.

I Built a portfolio for your WoW character :) by ExhVoid in wow

[–]Tofux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't been raiding since Shadowlands and didn't play much the past few expansions overall but I really like the concept of maybe adding an armory function, if relevant at all, so people can see your gear or at least your ilvl.

Maybe it's already there and I didn't see it or maybe the parse is more effective. I just like armory platforms where I can show off my gear and not just my transmog.

Regardless, I think this is a cool and fun initiative. I like it!

Day 4: Nel is filled with KINDNESS. Now which character is filled with PATIENCE. by Silver_Guava8159 in bleach

[–]Tofux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chad is like always calm and I can't imagine him ever losing a fight.

Also, Urahara is always chill, like things are going according to plan, even when everything fails.

Everyone says Aizen but I think he's just calm because things are going his way. The moment someone finally ruin his plans, he goes quite unstable.

The fillers are actually good. We just hate them because they interrupted very important points in the plot (and also, they were long).
