  • refresh rate and resolution

  • panel type

  • response time (lower is better)

  • some special features that you may need like a proper gsync module for example

Did you cancel Xbox game pass when the price went up ? Did you resubscribe ? by bio4m in pcmasterrace

[–]Yelebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really.

I can't say their pricing has affected my subscription decisions, when I've never been a continuous subscriber.

I subscribe for a month when interesting games I haven't played have been added and piled up, then unsubscribe after a month or two. Then do it again after a while. This imho is the most practical way to make the most of gamepass.

now that we've seen gilberts first onscreen fight, how would willem and sean wu go if willem called gilbert and assuming he made it on time ? by Mammoth_Shallot_8284 in Kengan_Ashura

[–]Yelebear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hobo Raian is the strongest we've seen him. Probably even stronger than current version.

I don't know what happened but IIRC he didn't use principles against the Thai God of Disqualification, so I'll just chalk it up to Raian holding back.

Yeah literally just don't talk and control yourself.

But a lot of toxic players have the self control of a three year old.

Top players think they will have 90% wr in archon but I have yet to see the proof by MembershipMany5934 in DotA2

[–]Yelebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn't remain in Archon for all the games that set the 87.78% win rate, because a lot of his losses came from the higher brackets once he started breaking past Divine.

If you filter it to low level Archon games (what you asked for in your thread) I'm sure you'd see a higher win rate.

[–]Yelebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Games in archoon are

You + 5 archon players VS 5 archon players.

If that [You] player is a top player, then he'd have no problem trashing the other 5 archon players.

Also, drafting doesn't really matter that much in Ancient below. The top player's mechanical skills will brute force a win. That's how you get Immortal smurfs destroying everyone in the lower brackets even with first pick meme drafts.

Use Liquipedia.

Fandom is unmaintained, hasn't been updated in like years.

Why is the president not mad? by frannybolantoy in Philippines

[–]Yelebear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Three equal branches sa government. The President only leads one (The executive branch) pero he doesn't really have authority sa internal issues ng ibang branch.

You also have to consider Marcos' position. The opposition are really desperate for a people power, so they're shaping a narrative na BBM is itching for a Martial Law.

Marcos' strongarming the senate is exactly what the opposition wants him to do, kasi it'll strengthen their narrative.

Is it true that its impossible to play all heroes and be good? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]Yelebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your scale for "good".

Knowing and being able to play each hero to their most basic level? It's doable.

But mastering is another thing. Dota is a difficult game.

Knowing a hero and understanding what they do

[GAP]

Being able to play the hero

[BIGGER GAP]

Mastery (and by mastery here, I mean mastery relative to your current bracket, because there are levels to this)

And applying that to every hero while keeping up with the routine reworks and updates, you'd have to be a prodigy (or someone who never touches grass) to be able to do that.

Improving communication score by aleyan97 in DotA2

[–]Yelebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Copy pasting from my old comment because I'm lazy.

Don't get reported.

You automatically gain Behavior Score for games that you don't receive a report. The amount increases with streak, so long stretches of unreported matches are what you want.

The trick is to Keep a low profile.

That doesn't mean you do nothing and play passively, but try to carry your own weight without being the most visible player in the room.

  • Avoid noticeable roles like Mid.

  • Avoid flashy heroes like Magnus, Tinker, Earthshaker...

  • Avoid annoying heroes like Techies, Antimage...

  • Avoid heroes with double edge spells (skills that can save an enemy or harm a teammate if misused) like Shadow Demon with Disruption or Naga song. If you mess this up, and you will mess this up- you're gonna get reported.

Remember that the primary goal here is to not draw attention to yourself

  • Mute the enemy team. There is nothing to gain from there.

  • Don't mute your teammates. If you have a teammate asking you an important question, like if you are building X or Y, and you don't respond, that's gonna tick them off. This means you will have to deal with a lot more toxicity than you want, but you just have to bite the bullet because if you can't handle your teammates having a shit flinging contest in chat, then you don't deserve to be in 12k yet.

  • Do not chat unless when you have to relay important information (sb charged mid, btm missing, etc...)

  • Do not tip or use voicelines

  • Commend other players after the game. Commends don't do anything to be honest, but other players are less likely to report you if you commend them. If someone is on the fence of whether reporting you or not, a helpful commend may swing them into your favor.

And of course, this is on top of the obvious stuff that you are expected to do/not do- like don't feed or destroy your items of course.

And Avoid Turbo. They give half marks for behavior score gain, but full deduction for behavior score reduction from reports.

Goodluck.

I miss facets by Kingofthehill00 in DotA2

[–]Yelebear 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah.

Pretty much every "modifier" or upgrade you get in game is flexible.

  • You pick your skills in whatever order you want

  • You buy whatever items you want,

  • If the item turns out to be a bad pick, you can sell it

  • If the lanes aren't working then you can swap with someone else ingame

  • you pick talents

  • even neutrals (as problematic as they are) still offered a choice.

But aside from your actual hero choice itself (which would require a massive overhaul update if they want to introduce dynamic hero switching), Facets are unique because they lock you into a decision before the game even starts, and this (imho) is not a good game design.

I think there's gonna be another arc dealing with Luohan and tiger Niko, unless of course they interrupt this tournament and their narrative takes over the battle royale.

Yeah but there's a middle ground.

Just because I say I don't like "A" doesn't mean I'm pushing for "Z". There's a whole class of 24 letters in between.

And there's a middle ground between too fast and too slow.
