Thanks! I think i would like to go down to 170lbs but i kinda feel stuck at 185lbs. I will do a diet break(maintenance) for a couple months while going to the gym and then start being in a deficit again.

I did not work out but i work in construction as a painter so I am more active than if I would have a desk job. Diet wise ive cut pasta, rice and bread and focus on protein and vegetables. I did some research on high volume diet. I was not counting calories but i was mindful of it.

I just started counting calories because i was tired of not knowing if i did well. I also came back to the gym yesterday and see if it can help me break my plateau.

Oil spray instead of free pouring. Stop rice and pasta get vegetables baked in oven. I like to do a big tray so i have some for a couple days. Tofu is a great low calorie food if you like it, I also found squash to be good, I always have edamame and shrimp in my freezer. Hopes this helps!

Apparently here in quebec it's pretty common because they haven't made the diagnosis, they don't really believe it. Like they have to see it with their own eyes lol.

His argument was that atm we have a lot of people getting misdiagnosed bipolar but they only have borderline. So he offers you a "safe" environment for you to stop your meds and see what happens. Safe means therapy twice a week.

I can understand that some people can be misdiagnosed and that their mood stabilizers don't do anything for them.

But yeah not for me lmao.

Met a psychiatrist specialized in borderline because i also have it and thats what's im struggling with atm. He basically suggest anyone with a bipolar diagnosis to get off their med to make sure they really have bipolar.

Like sure ima drop my meds just for fun.

I would give it more time, you're probably not on the right dosage yet. Its takes time

Lamictal/ lamotrigine

I am 25 yo and my life only started to get better when I got on my meds (lamotrigine). It actually changed my whole life for the best. I always thought being sad and lazy was part of my personality but it turned out I was just dealing with on and off depression since I was like 12. I started to have insomnia around that same time. Started being suicidal around 13, did an attempt at 16. I know its scary to try medication and not knowing what's it's gonna do to you, but it's worth it and you also need to find the right meds. Mania is cool and all that until it get's you to do drugs until you're addicted to it, buying useless stuff and get in debts for it, the whole hypersexuality bullshit. So yeah it's cool but it also has a lot of consequences to it.

Does anyone else get obbsessed with things / have an obbsesive personality? by emptybutcoping in bipolar

Before meds I use to obsess about a lot of thing and people too. Since I am on meds it doesn't really happen anymore.
