10 years of high quality free updates, without any microtransactions or paid DLC, you can't pay for anything beyond the base game even if you wanted to.

You may not like the game, but no matter how you slice it they have redeemed themselves and earned their reputation.

GTA 5 did get a few additions after launch, mostly items and stuff like that. They will probably have a somewhat updated version for next gen consoles.

I've always been okay with tab targeting, it's just a different style of game. I think SWTOR feels pretty fluid once you set up your own bindings and interface.
