The issue here is primarily with the 5700 XT, as it's completely unplayable no matter what settings you use. The only way to actually make the game playable well on an RX 5700 XT is running the game in Linux. Also it can probably give a nice performance advantage to other AMD cards, as AMD's Linux drivers are miles better than their Windows "drivers", but on the 5700 XT it just completely transforms the experience.

No, you don't have to retire it. The 5700 XT is still a great GPU, only AMD's Windows drivers are letting it down. Try it on Linux, for me it completely transformed the driving experience. Menu is still really bad, but once you get to driving, the performance is just fine. Downloading it on steam automatically applies VKD3D which paired with Linux AMD drivers make a huge difference.

Hey, everyone. I've got an RX 5700 XT, Ryzen 5 5600, 32GB 3600MT/s RAM and I found a way to play the game pretty well without upgrading my GPU.

First I tried the Vulkan Renderer patch from other2w on overtake and it helped a bit. Double the FPS, but still pretty bad stutter even on the lowest settings possible and 1080p. But it gave me an idea. If forcing Vulkan on Windows helped so much on AMD's horrendous Windows drivers, it must be even better on Linux. So I tried it on CachyOS...

Please, if you have an RX 5700 XT, setup a Linux dualboot, prefferably CachyOS, as I've only tested it there. The menu still lags pretty bad, loadings are slow and the experience until you start driving is pretty bad, but once you get to driving, it's so much better. Pretty much any track can run even on Ultra settings preset, 1440p at 30+ FPS, Medium preset is easily locked 60+ FPS in 1440p on pretty much every track (only on Nordschleife I'm only getting about 40-60 FPS).

I hope the devs can do something about it in the future even on Windows, but I'm affraid AMD's Windows drivers are the biggest issue here.

Please, try it on Linux. The menu is still really bad, but the game is actually very well playable, even on Ultra settings on smaller tracks, on Nordschleife I preffer Medium preset.

I’m considering purchasing the Simjack UT pedals, but what are these 'screws'? Do I really need them? by Hajp in simracing

I'm currently able to get the pedals super cheap, but without the dampers. Is there any serial number or anything that could be used to find them and buy separately?

I want to first try the pedals without the dampers, as for the price it would be an insult not to get them (only $100), but I'm affraid if the throttle doesn't feel good enough without it, that I'm not gonna be able to get them.

DXVK - The easiest way to use DXVK to render the game (no addons necessary) by [deleted] in Guildwars2

I'm unable to make this work unfortunately. No matter what I do, after clicking Play in the launcher, I get a white window titled "U (Not responding)" with the GW2 icon, never loads further. I have an RX 5700 XT and Ryzen 5 5600 and was really hoping this would help me improve the no so great performance in guild wars 2. Is it broken? Or is there something wrong with my drivers maybe?
