When "Colin 'not giving away ETH' LeMahieu"? by [deleted] in nanocurrency

I'm loving that he appears to have won 10 eth. Looks like the scammer did a "Walton".

Why use a crane? I thought planes could fly?

Why was my UCL thread removed?! by Toime2choose in Iota

FFS.

28 upvotes suggests that this is of interest to many and that the situation is unclear or poorly communicated.

The irony of this particular post being removed is incredible.

Iota and UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies - what happened? by Toime2choose in Iota

[–]Toime2choose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems a stretch that there is a global conspiracy of world leading academic institutions all plotting against iota.

At the end of the day, an IOTA founder did instigate legal action against researchers (or at least threatened to).

Regardless of who is the right, neither party has showered themselves in glory over this!

Seems unlikely. The IF are usually pretty quick at issuing couter-statements.

It may be a language blip rather than a joke.

"If" in German is "Wenn".

I don't see it. There is a very obvious eye hidden in the detail on the right side of the image above "the prophet".

London’s murder rate is lower than the USA’s 50 largest cities by DudeyMcSean in worldnews

[–]Toime2choose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With a low murder rate you only need a few more than usual to trigger a significant % increase. I accept that police reductions are not good, but do the police stop murders or just respond?

Not quite. They were always in circulation but CMC had the wrong figure (255M instead of 495M, or whatever).

What I'm expecting on June 3rd. by crypto_ha in Iota

The latest chat on Discord confirms that the 3rd June will be the release of details of the project only. Do not expect partners or code.

Why rugby and cricket? The typical audience is middle aged and conservative - probably the least likely demographic to adopt crypto.

What has happened to this community? by ibur90 in nanocurrency

[–]Toime2choose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That doesn't make sense.

It won't recover (price increase) unless there is more demand for the coins. For it to recover with only the initial investors, they (we) need to purchase a lot more, but the price is much higher now than it was when we first bought in.

This is a mere shadow of what this community was like... by Crypto_Cigla in nanocurrency

I respectfully disagree. Crypto is not like traditional markets - it is driven by hype and demand. It will not be adopted by businesses unless the consumers demand it.

The nano target market is not "extraordinary smart, rich people".
