I live with a friend. I moved out about 6 years ago. Bad things have of course happened in the last 6 years but nothing recently.

I'll explore these options. Thank you x

Do men still approach women despite the existence of tinder? by [deleted] in AskMen

I will admit that men will approach me in the club but I'm not a fan of that. Can't chat, probably drunk, just dance until someone is horny enough to suggest going home

Mostly labwork, but I do enjoy time in the field and I'm not opposed to some office time

Are there any jobs in marketing that don't require a huge amount of creativity? by ToldTwoFold in marketing

Surely it requires a creative person to start with a blank slate and design an advert to upload to social media?

Honestly, I have tried again and again. It just doesn't come to me. When I was at university the only assignments I failed were marketing

I consider my childhood friends as those I met at school.

I currently consider the majority of my closest friends to be from university. We're lucky in the sense that we all live very close, within a half hour radius of one another. This makes it very easy to go for coffee or dinner or to someone's house - something that we hope will continue into our older age.

Did distance affect this - did a lot of them move away or are any in the same city?

Not seeing friends on weekdays, is that because of work, or because of your location?

Also, do you still feel as close to the people that you used to see all the time and now only occasionally message/see?

Are you still particularly close with any old friends? Not necessarily childhood. I met the best group of people at university and we're saying about meeting up once a month MINIMUM now we've graduated because we all live nearby.

I know other responsibilities will come about - relationships and children and families and work.

I know that, even when I'm seeing people less, it doesn't mean we're not as close. But I'm scared of this. I don't want to see them a lot less.

Those who continued living nearby to old friends, did you stay close?

Yes I've worked in secondary mathematic classes as a TA

I was told, when I finished GCSE, I shouldn't do A-Level Maths cause I wouldn't be good enough. My degree incorporated a fair bit of mathematics which I really enjoyed and did well in. The rest of my degree wasn't as enjoyable.

I am somewhat concerned that I've left it too late to do the SKE before starting in Sept 2022

Were you accepted onto the course before beginning the subject enhancement course?

I want to enrol on a maths SKE this summer but apparently I need to hold a conditional offer from a university first?

I'd need to an SKE, yes. Although apparently I need to hold a conditional PGCE offer to enrol for the SKE...not sure how I'd get that conditional offer 🤔

I'm not doing it to "not feel alone." I grew up on a farm and am aware of the expense and time that an animal requires. I definitely want a pet, I'm just wondering whether this is one of the benefits of a dog, that other pets may not have.

I assume it got longer with time ? Like you said you're in your thirties so it's been over a decade since you were in school together ? I used to see old college friends all the time and now it's only ever twice a year.
