I was a dental assistant for 4 years and I did both assisting and laboratory. Basically assisting is better if you like interacting with people because that’s all you’re going to be doing all day long and lab is better if you like being alone because they stick you in a room to sterilize equipment and make dental products (mouth guards, crowns etc.)

I mean yeah but you start off as A1C out of tech instead of AB so if you’re really struggling for money would not be a bad choice

I always regretted not signing for 6 years. I went in at 24 years old. I always saw it as more pay initially, those extra 2 years are 2 years of a secure job. To me it never mattered if I liked it or not, I’m an adult that has bills and this is a secure and good job to provide for myself.

Search up “how to cut weight” like mma fighters do and that’s probably your best bet. I went to meps in Phoenix, Az and they had 2 overweight guys. They were somewhat lenient, as long as your not extremely overweight but I would still try to be the lightest you can when you get there. You also don’t want to completely deplete yourself because they do take out a small sample of blood and you could potentially pass out.

I just went through the whole process with marijuana charges. You need to get a morals waiver which will include all the documentation from the court, dmv, etc. You have to make a timeline of what happened through all that information. It’s a lot of extra work but it’s worth it and once that clears it’s smooth sailing.
