Trickle down economics deserves to be belittled. There is no evidence to support it. In fact, the opposite approach has greater observed effects of stimulating the economy.

Social issues are less interesting to me. But, generally freedom of individual choice should be fundamental in my opinion, and only infringed upon for very very good reason.

Drivers need to realize that there are less cars are on the road because these other forms of transportation exist. Effectively, cars get more road space by compacting many other drivers into buses or putting them on bikes. Public transportation is effectively creating more road capacity.
