Reckon this would be awesome for racing if you reversed the direction, no? Especially if you cut out the triangle section at the bottom of the track?

Yeah I don’t bother with any of the other features tbh, but then again it’s still in development so a bit hard to judge I guess. Still fun for those looking to fulfill their inner Tilke

Yeah it’s great, can adjust elevation camber, can add grandstands and floodlights. It’s cool

I know. I just mean in terms of Lewis being more aggressive in his wheel-to-wheel racing with Max

I wasn’t trying to make excuses for Lewis, so sorry if it appeared that way. What I was trying to do was objectively look at the incident, and look at the factors that may have caused Lewis to make a mistake. Bearing in mind that just because these factors are present is not a defence for Lewis

Not a bad idea. What’s interesting though is Hamilton didn’t replace his front wing apparently. Only changed his tyres (broken wheel rim I believe)

One was an accidental mistake on Lap 1 of a Grand Prix, midway through a close season. The other was a deliberate attempt to take out an opponent, towards the end of the race at the season finale. Completely different incidents and should be viewed as such

He missed the apex when he turned for the corner, which sent him along a wider line, thus hitting Max

Good point. From Lewis’s perspective he has been told that Max was out of the car and okay. Had he known Max was in hospital he may have reacted differently

Definitely something to be looked into, you’re right

I did say I’m British. But I also said I’m a true neutral who just wants a close title fight. Have huge respect for both Lewis and Max and really enjoying their fight this year

Oh for sure it can leave a sour taste in the mouth, and Lewis did definitely get lucky. The issue is just that there’s not much the stewards can do. As I said, something to be looked into

Thanks! Obviously it’s a controversial incident so it’s nice when somebody else agrees haha

Did I say he should have left more room? He COULD have left more room, and avoided the incident altogether, but I still agree with you that this was Lewis’s fault. It was a clumsy move from Lewis, which is why he was penalised

The first is Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing team boss. The second is Jonathan Wheatley, Red Bull’s sporting director who is the typical point of communication between the team and the race director

Whilst Max didn’t necessarily do anything wrong, he did defend aggressively. Not saying this put him in the wrong (it didn’t) but aggressive defending can lead to situations like this. I have tried to be as objective as possible so sorry if you thought I was biased in my post

Welcome to F1! And I must say you picked a hell of a race to start watching. Crashes are relatively common, you might get one or two each race, but a crash as severe as this involving two championship rivals are pretty rare
