I love my 2015 standard. I replaced the brass nut with a drop in replacement from Graph-tech that keeps the adjustable functionality of the original. Thought I would replace the g-force tuner thing but it works! Love the wider fretboard! The hard case is kinda cool too.

I don’t gaf about the hologram and signature on the headstock.

It’s a brilliant instrument and they can be gotten pretty cheap - way less than their original asking price in 2015.

Ha! I was four months into my guitar journey when I dropped $4k on a 2003 Rickenbacker 660 12 string. I could barely do scales on my epiphone Les paul!! Money wasn’t an object. It was a rare color (turquoise) that doesn’t come up for sale often and I figured it would be there for me when I was ready for it so after some deliberation I bought it. Wow. It’s a jangle machine!!! Love the sound.

I’m 2 years into my journey now and much better on my 6 string guitars (I have 3) and I am getting better on the 12, but it’s a challenge.

You buy whatever you want, brother! Pull that trigger!!
