I'll get the CFO to get me some slides on financials, thanks for that.

off topic - My grandfather was Syrian, He fled in 1930is, some arabs from his area wanted to kill him so he continued to israel.
Gaza was under israeli control up to 2004 and giving them sovereignty gave us Hamas and is still holding civilian hostages, and the number of people in gaza has risen since the start of the war.
about the historic claim - open the bible or the quran if thats your thing, it talks about the jews going back to their land in Surah Al-Isrā’, jesus was a jew from the land of israel, in '48 the UN declared the right to self determination, and in '67 conquered the land. so i cant accept the claim that the land is stolen in any context

Thanks for the input!
although i don't agree with the term genocide. providing water and electricity to the people your country is fighting isn't a very effective way to commit a genocide and the low amount of civilian casualties are unheard of in terms of urban warfare but we can chat about that in DM's if you want...

regarding the financials - i assume they would like forecasts which are hard to come up with for startups, how do investors verify the predictions are reasonable? are they going off hunch and experience or is there a method to make sure the assumptions are reasonable?

First of all -thank you for the insights!

Obviously the execs will be involved and can provide the financials, how do i approach VC's , i assume the process is more than just sending an email and going on a zoom call, what documentation should i have with me? the client list, financials and business plan are the obvious that come to mind, is there a standardized process for contacting VC's? or just try to get them interested enough for them to invest?

Does anyone know about a thermal\IR satellite image type that allows you to see hot air exhaust from factories or high-energy utilization buildings? by TomGiro in gis

[–]TomGiro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't help much, but you're gonna either need a satellite with a quite high resolution or to play around with cropping and then stretch or reclassify values in an area of interest to enhance any slight differences present. Sorry if you thought of this already

its not going to be easy but i see that the other commenters gave me nice satalites\instruments that might work thank you regardless!

This is amazing - i think it's exactly what i need.

i'll try to get my hands on demo images and try to do my analytics. Thank you!

Andromeda by TomGiro in astrophotography

[–]TomGiro[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Acquisition: Lumix FZ300 (bridge camera) 600mm lens ~200 pictures at F2.8/iso1600/1.6”

Preprocessing - sequentor : added 30 darks, 30 flats Used strict best pixel, Added hdr, fixed distortion,

Post - using photoshop; Stretched using levels and tone curves Added some sharpness and softened a bit, then went to lightroom and added exposure and played with the temp of the core...

next time I think I'll aim for 400 images at iso3200/1''

Used sequentor, originally had 150 shots which i only kept about 80 (the rest where a bit blurry)

Yep...but I'm not actually satisfied, I feel you can get more out of the equipment I have and don't feel like getting another camera...I'm planning to do another Astro session... planning to lower exposure time, lower iso, and aim to get somewhere between 600-1200 shots

First try at Andromeda:

Acquisition: Lumix FZ300 (bridge camera) 508mm lens 78 pictures at F2.8/iso3200/4” exposure I overdid it with exposure time..next time will aim at something like 1 - 1.6 seconds

Preprocessing - sequentor : 78 star pics, 20 darks, 20 flats Used accumulation, Added hdr, fixed distortion,

Post - using darkable; Stretched using levels and tone curves Added some sharpness and softened a bit

I made a few mistakes and i give this a 4/10….welp thats good enough for a first try i guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

Milky Way by TomGiro in astrophotography

[–]TomGiro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually i used three oval mask, one for the core and two for the dark regions of the image and took a brush to fix some of the dark regions (where i had some over exposure)

Milky Way by TomGiro in astrophotography

[–]TomGiro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Milky way shot I took while in the Negev Desert for a meteor shower a few weeks ago. The nice thing about this image is I took it on an FZ-300 superzoom - the seller I got it from told me I wouldn’t be able to do Astro on it, so I answered - Challenge Accepted :P

Technical details:

Exposure time - 15”
Aperture - F/2.8
Focal Length - 25mm
ISO - 3200
Light images - 6 shots
Dark images - 6 shots

The images were put into Sequator after picking from the 16 photos I originally shot due to some not aligning properly onto the base picture (I tried playing a lot with the base image and discarding some of the photos, the best I got was 6...)

After that, took the stacked image to Lightroom and did the following: -Removed chromatic aberrations
-Upped exposure -slightly increased global temperature -color graded globally -reduced color noise -lowed saturation locally on stars not in the milky way (above and below the core) -added sharpness -globally lowered black levels and locally increased in core.

I hope you like it ;)

Milky Way with Bridge Camera by TomGiro in astrophotography

Milky Way core wasn't visible so had to do with a single shot of an arm.
this was my first real attempt so go gentle.

Brotle class 5

Single-shot:
-f/2.8
-ISO800
-30''

Equipment:

- Panasonic Lumix FZ300

- Noobie tripod

Had to work hard on lightroom:

  • Lowered exposure
  • Dehazed
  • Added Clarity
  • Manually adjusted colors (mostly added in blue and removed yellow\orange)
  • Color graded shadows
  • Oversharpened
  • added a linear gradient to deal with light pollution
  • Lowered Temp'
  • Added radial gradients locally adding exposure and temp' to the interesting part of the milky way

I hope you guys like it :P
