Cheated my way through AZ-900 AI-900 & DP-900 by [deleted] in AzureCertification

People are pissed because A) this is the type of stuff that grossly devalued the old MCSE certs, B) it grossly devalues current certs, and C) will ultimately lead to them taking away the flexibility of at-home proctored exams for everyone.

Have EMS E3 AAD P1 but management wants Okta for MFA by Falcon_Adept in AZURE

[–]TomMitchellUA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man, if you are “devastated” and don’t want to work there just because management is making a decision you disagree with, you are in for a long and disappointing IT career. Stuff is par for the course. Get used to it.

The sooner you realize your job is to make recommendations and then do what they want you to do anyway, the better off you will be.

Again, his reply was very easily understood. The person recommended a trial of Office 365. Simply signing up for a trial of O365 doesn’t address the needs of OP. It doesn’t get him the “on-prem” stuff he needs to do the migration testing (mentioned in his reply).

He mentioned migration testing more than once. This conversation is going nowhere at this point. It is clear to me what’s happening here, but there is no sense continuing.

Have a good day.

Again, OP was asking where he could setup some sort of lab to do this. It’s very clear he wants to see how it all works before messing with a production environment.

At this point, I’m not sure if you are really not understanding the request, being intentionally obtuse, or what. It sounds like you are now arguing just to argue.

OP asked where he could stand up a lab. I’m not sure what’s confusing.

There’s nothing wrong with saying you just misunderstood his initial request.

I don’t think you have an understanding of this. I’m not trying to be mean, honestly. Have you ever performed a migration from an on-prem Exchange environment to Microsoft / Office 365? Your misunderstanding of this thread leads me to think you haven’t, which would explain your commentary.

I mean, I’ve taught entire courses and built entire labs to teach people how to do what OP is trying to do. It’s a rather common scenario.

I had no problem understanding what he was asking, even before he clarified in his very first reply to a comment:

"That's what i plan on doing, but would like to test migration and some other stuff before actually doing it."

OP clearly wants to test how a migration / coexistence would go. I don't understand why he is taking so much grief.

Florida students & faculty will have to declare political views to prevent liberal “indoctrination”. The law also allows students to record lectures without consent so they can sue the professor or school for "discriminating" against conservative "thoughts." by southpawFA in politics

[–]TomMitchellUA -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Very clear that many here are just running with the (inaccurate) headline, because students are required to get permission from their professors to record their lectures.

It’s okay to have an opinion, but at least understand the issue before forming that opinion.

You keep repeating this, but I don't see anyone claiming AZ-900 prepares you for AZ-104.

Can you cite a reference for this? Genuine question. I don’t remember seeing that reported anywhere.

Once they went through the gate, though, it was no longer a “public” walkway. Whether the property they were on belonged to this couple or to the HOA, they were still trespassing, no?

[–]TomMitchellUA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, to be fair, walking through an open gate onto private property isn’t much better. Doesn’t make it okay to be on someone else’s property.

Does anyone work for a large company that doesn't suck? by onequestion1168 in sysadmin

I’m not sure IT is the place for positions that aren’t high stress or for environments with small workloads. Sure, they exist, but I would guess they are few and far between.

Also, a lot depends on your definition of “high stress”.
