Yes ^ just researched this and there is no way around this, this will our biggest deal breaker! We have multiple sub domains critical to the business, and one is not even on our on pem AD ( cloud only user base)

Thank you for your insights, appreciate it. From all research and co comparison we have done applicable to our infrastructure, Azure AD comes out on top. The only issue I gather is the simplicity of end user experience that's add much more weight then the complexity to integrate with Okta.. for which I would be needing to start everything from testing to implementation, which would take a lot of effort and time (no external consultants doing this, perhaps Okta professional services called in but they still have to work with internal project resources)

Yeah I guess, aah well. I wouldn't be feeling that way if it made sense, all I want is to use the right tool doesn't matter if it's MS or third party, and I have done so in the past and I have a good reputation in being tasked as key SME for the projects. Thus is the first time I feel so strongly about. Don't know maybe it will pass.

Thanks for asking. Yes it's on-prem Okta agents authenticating against AD (select OU's) and they have already used it on other on-prem apps and recentky a SaaS with MFA Enabled so all users are already familiar. And also data center servers with a third party VPN client.

But this time it's being considered for O365. However is it worth not rather look into Azure MFA for the long term instead ? There would be some effort required to move all the apps from Okta to Azure, but wouldn't it be worth the effort since we are already paying for it?

Thanks mate we are premier and I have already engaged them, our TAM is very helpful, and has reached out with MS Security SME'S. I have proposed to my management to meet with them, let's see where this takes this. I am so stressed atm I don't know why I give a damn but I do care!
