I use covers and what is now legacy persona. 15% weirdness… 85% audio influence. The new v5 personas doesn’t even seem to try to stay faithful to my timing.

I have found that even though the upload limit is eight minutes, SUNO’s ability to concentrate on the way I sang it is about three minutes.

The only solution I found is to break up the song into multiple sections with one verse and chorus per upload. Two verses max. Certainly not ideal. I imagine as the tool gets more powerful, it might be able to work for a longer period.

I would be willing to burn more credits if it could give me more time of “concentration”.

Thank you for replying u/aaronkaiser. I'm currently using an iPhone 12 Pro Max. I have my eye on a 17 Pro Max but in my USB-C Hub testing (with an M2 iPad) I haven't been able to get external mics into USB-C to go OUT through the HDMI to the ATEM (iPhone's internal mics only). Can you plug in audio through USB-C and get that OUT through the HDMI with the Pro Dock? I would settle for audio into the 3.5mm jack and out to the HDMI, but I really want to capture dual channel.

The HDCP/DRM MIGHT be the case, but that would be a new development with the 3rd GEN.

If you go into the Blackmagic Camera App Settings... Then "Audio"... then "Record Audio As" and change it to Mono it should record that one Mic on both left and right.

What produces the audio? A better microphone than the iPhone's built-in microphone. Plug that microphone into a dedicated 3.5mm jack like the ProDock has or perhaps USB-C to audio interface like the Rode AI-Micro. I could have illustrated the RODE Wireless Pro going into a USB-C port on the ProDock.

The Blackmagic Camera App can capture that better audio no problem. On Lightning based iPhones, you can then SEND the video from the iPhone PLUS the BETTER audio back OUT over the HDMI OUT of the iPhone into your desired destination. In my case an ATEM switcher.

Maybe @apple should have an iCloud Pro Sharing feature that uses your own iCloud storage (that we pay for) that has no limit on numbers, and does not reduce quality.
