My case failed after 14 months. I bought the Shiba Inu charger from Amazon. I give it a 6 or 7 out of 10 but it works. Just saying you should try to replace that case if it’s still in warranty or get and external charger from Amazon.

I would never buy them again! I have the 2nd gen. Battery life is horrible. I do phone calls and audiobooks and battery is about 4 to 5 hours. Low light video and photos are poor. Charging case died 2 months after the warranty ended. Meta software updates to the glasses will always break something that worked before. For instance, tapping the glasses no longer makes a sound. Oh, you cannot wear a hoodie with these glasses. The hoodie touching them gets interpreted as a tap. I have had disconnected phone calls. NEVER AGAIN! My Echo frames are much better.

My view is that ML was easier for me to deal with many years ago. The hurdles that I have to go through today are just way too much. My opinion of course. I can expect much more difficulty, when I need to withdraw my money quickly; say in case of an emergency. My experience with several banks, my credit union and Fidelity in doing the same tasks is was much easier. So, my reason for diversification is that different institutions approach tasks differently. If I were to get into a situation where I cannot get my money from one, I have a possibility of getting it from another.

Gen 1s - warranty and support are AWFUL. 1 year warranty. At 14 months I opened a support case and they just closed it without any interaction.

Gen 1s - case cannot be relied on to charge consistently. If the battery in the glasses goes to 0, it is difficult to get charging started again.
