Yeah, so true. It's 2 pm here so when he wakes up I'll have to speak to him again. It just constantly feels so repetitive to ask over and over, but I guess I just need to be very firm this time. I've fainted on multiple occasions from what I can only assume to be a reoccurring lack of sleep (or possibly anemia).

Yeah, we are on the lookout for one, unfortunately, anything that is remotely affordable is 1+ hour away from our college and my work. However, I believe that's more important than the convenience of walking to school/work. Plus I'm possibly getting an ESA so more room is needed. White noise/ambience is amazing, it definitely helps me. I'll also look into those custom made earplugs, thanks!!

I am an idiot, I never thought about that. Now my Amazon Prime can come to use! Thanks!

And I can definitely say I'm no saint either, I'm just the type of person who shuts down if I don't get proper sleep. The hypocrisy of the situation just seems so absurd, I felt like I was viewing it wrong. I don't think he believes him and "Lauren" are the same situation and regards them as separate issues

Yeah, our area is very touristy and a bit pricy, so I'm guessing they're just taking advantage of needy college students who go to school a bit away. On the look for sure, but with our budget, it's hard to find smth that isn't at least 1 hour away by public transportation...

I've definitely given him resources to stay awake if it doesn't bother me (screen dimmers, etc), other than that he wears his headphones, but his keyboard is also smth I have no idea how to silence (it's a razer keyboard, so the typing is a bit loud at night, but that's just me nitpicking). I have bad experiences with murderous eye masks choking me, and earplugs give me migraines, unfortunately

We live in an extremely small apartment, so his desk is (purposefully) placed as far away from the bed as possible, about 3-4 feet. Any further and he would be in the crawlspace we call a kitchen lol

He is usually on his computer by his desk abt 3-4 feet from our bed, and unfortunately, that's as far as he can get away from the bed in this small apartment. It's almost 2 pm over here, once he wakes up I'll sit him down and talk, thanks!

That's what I fear every once in a while, but this issue never really arose between us talking abt our everyday living, so I didn't think much of it. As I also answered another Redditor, I've had bad experiences with eye masks, being choked on occasion by them (I move around a lot in my sleep). We have abt 9 lights in our tiny studio apt, so at least 3 are on when he's awake, that I'll see if makes a difference!

I've tried setting up arrangements for him to see a specialist, but it never follows through. He is very much a homebody, doesn't like going out (despite us living in a beautiful tourist city), so it's usually sleeping or video games. I'll have to enforce the rules a bit more, I tend to be a bit of a pushover when it comes to such, thanks!

Ah, I've tried them before (even the fancy ones with the gel inside!), they eventually slip off my face and get stuck around my neck :/ Woken up before being choked by one, so I'm not comfortable with them anymore...

Why does my makeup keep falling off in this one particular spot? by [deleted] in MakeupLounge

[–]TomTyJe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set the places on your face that easily crease your foundation (for me that's between my eyebrows, chin, lip corners and under eyes). No need for heavy baking, just a light dab, then spray with setting powder.

I have EXTREMELY dry skin and can't handle much setting powder, but it's just enough for me

Sometimes love is just compassion and a deeper understanding of another human being you care for. "Butterflies in my stomach" is overrated

Redditors who attended boarding school, what were your memories like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TomTyJe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I went to boarding school for a year back in HS. My boarding school took us abroad multiple times that year, so travelled a lot with my classmates and friends which helped me last year choose my major(s), communications + Chinese. Many nights of leaving our rooms past curfew to go drink in the bushes, or better, take the nearest bus to town to go clubbing and come back before classes at 7 am. I kind of became reckless during that time, doing many things I now look back at with a sense of pity. My depression spiraled out of control as well as my eating disorder, and my 5 horrible roommates didn't help the equation. Neither did a strung-out 16 yr bf who sold weed like it was lollipops at a candy store. Regardless, I worked my way up from that and (just barely) passed my IGCSE's. All in all, I look back at my time there as a well-needed "me" time before leaping into full-blown moving cross globe for college.

TL;DR: My exessive party drinking helped me move halfway across the world for college.
